A. "he orders fractions" thats the solution, number four is =, number 7 is =, and number 14 is =, otherwise just go thru and make the proper sign next to each letter circle the letters and you'll know the other side is greater, and the answer to 21 is D: Ted, tell your teacher that if all the fractions are set to 20 only 18/20 of them are eat, Penelope eat 3/20, Simon eat 2/20, Gina eat 5/20 and, ted eat 8/20. tell me how it goes i'm intrested to see how i did, Crestonmerrill@yahoo.com.

Where can you find free printable 6th grade worksheets?
Q. I am going to junior high next year and want to be prepared. If there is a website you know please tell me it. It can be for math, science, social studies, language arts, grammar, and reading. And if you have any tips for jr high please tell me them. thnx!

A. There are several websites that offer free downloadable and/or printable forms, however, they may not be specifically for your school or your classes. You should consider what your curriculum will be next year and readdress the question with that information, or google search worksheets. BTW, 6th grade is considered Junior High now?

A. My Father used to give me extra Maths at home, I was quiet good at it for a while then totally lost interest, now I don't deal with numbers at all. Re-doing Maths worksheets is pointless and boring for a growing mind, it would be much better to show him other mathematical related lessons, fractions and the like, unless you want him to be an accountant. I'd let him know what options there are for mathematicians and tell Maths is an important tool for Scientists, Architects and other professions. But alone it is a little pointless.

Q. i need help with commission. the directions for the worksheet say to check the problems and see if they are true or false. so anyway, i will list one and tell me how to check if it is right or wrong please. so here it is: rate of commission=16.6% total sales=$850 commission=$107.10 is that right or wrong how do i check if it is right or wrong?? umm leo d i didnt understand u but that kool player guy is going to get best answer! ok?
Asked by Webkinz Lover - Fri Apr 11 13:21:24 2008 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. You need to move your percentage decimal two places to the left which will give you .166. You always do that with your percentages when you're trying to find that percentage of another number. Then you will multiple $850 by .116 which will give you 141.1. That is how much commission will be earned (16.6%)! So the answer $107.10 is incorrect and the answer $141.1 is correct. Keep practicing and you will get better! =)

A. well, see the one above, with the triangles? its just like that. i know its difficult to understand something new when you havent been there but hopefully i can help a little. okay.. with the rectangles, 2in is the same as 6in. and 8in is the same as x. so you set it up like 2=6 and ---> 8=x then you cross multiply. 2 times x = 2x 6 times 8 = 48 so now we have 2x=48 divide each side by 2 to get x by itself. now we have, x = 24 the length of x is 24 i hope i helped!

Daughter's Fear of Math?
Q. I have a 12 year old daughter who truly fears math despite every effort to assist her. I've tried tutors, math worksheets, change in study habits, etc but she has a phobia for math so much so she's in the 6th grade and doesnt know her multiplications and if you ask her simple addition, she takes quite a bit of time to come up with the answer (ex. 8+8). She's an exceptional child (taught herself how to use Powerpoint, Word) but math - she fears. Any suggestions? I wanted to take her to Sylvan but I'm a single working mother and just who can afford Sylvan - that place is expensive.

Need some help with Math that I don't understand? Please help?
Q. There's this problem on this worksheet that our Math teacher gave us that I don't understand at all. I might sound really stupid, but I'm in the 6th grade, so please don't be rude? Here is the problem: Zachary brought a large container of nuts to school to share with his friends on National Nut Day. The ratio of macadamia nuts to walnuts to peanuts was 2:3:5. If there was a total of thirty nuts, how many peanuts were inside the container? I don't know how to ratios, could someone please explain it to me simply? I got 18 for the answer to the question. Is that correct? If not, could you please explain the process to get the correct answer? Thanks to everyone who helps.

I'm pretty sure my schedule for 9th Grade is going to be hard... What do you think?
Q. School starts on Wednesday, the 3rd.. here's my schedule: 1. Honors English 9 2. Advanced PE (It's just regular PE, =]) 3. Jazz Ensemble (I'm going to play guitar. I heard that there is homework for this class though...) 4. Honors Biology 9 5. Spanish 1 6. Math Analysis (I asked my counselor, it's just like Pre-Calculus). At first, it didn't seem so hard, it actually seemed kinda easy. But then I read the course outlines.. I have 5 hours a week of English homework, daily homework in Math, 5 hours a week of Biology homework, Spanish homework every day, Jazz music-reading to do, and I even read that there are worksheets to do for PE!!! Do you think this will give me some trouble? If it's of any help, I got A's in all my classes in 8th… [cont.]

A. That looks like any easy schedule to me. Some teachers say you'll have a lot of homework, but that will likely change. And an hour a day for one subject isn't that bad. Spanish 1 should be easy, I took it in middle school, so I don't remember that much about it. I'm actually really good in Spanish, so you probably need a second opinion. Math analysis (called the same thing at my school) is a little difficult, but is easier than Algebra 2 and makes some of the things you studied in Alg. 2 make more sense. PE worksheets are a joke. Jazz ensemble should be fun. Some of my friends who are in orchestra say it can be a lot of work around national competition time (staying after school to practice for 3-4 hours), but your teacher might… [cont.]

So if you want to help a person with a very very very low a in math (90.0) whose parents will kill her if she gets a B, Heres the info on the Wk. sh.: Okay, at the top it says "Building with toothpicks" At the very bottom it says: This activity has been adapted from Burkhardt et al. (2000) Navigating through algebra in grades 6-8 PS: I'm a 6th grader if that helps.

A. Just transfer the questions on the worksheet to a regular piece of lined paper and answer the questions. Tomorrow, I'm sure you could either ask your teacher for another copy or look really hard for the paper in your locker. I'm in seventh grade and my teachers never get mad when i turn in a sheet of lined paper instead of the worksheet. Just explain that you lost it, and if they won't let you turn it in, cry.
