Kharijite Sixth Pillar of Islam. This box:Aqidah (sometimes spelled Aqeeda, Aqidah or Aqida) (Arabic: عقيدة plural عقائد 'aqā'id) is an Islamic term meaning creed. Any religious belief system, or creed, can be considered an example of aqidah. However this term has taken a significant technical usage in Muslim history and theology, denoting those matters over which Muslims hold conviction. There are three main accepted schools of Sunni Aqidah: Ashari, Maturidi and Athari. IntroductionMuslims enumerate their creed to include the Six articles of belief. There is a consensus on the elements of this creed across all spectrums as they are clearly articulated in the Quran. Sectarian differences between Shias and Sunnis are often expressed in differences in branches or elaboration of creedal beliefs as opposed to the core creed (aqidah). For example, Muslims may have different ideas regarding the attributes of God or about the purpose of angels. However there is no dispute on the existence of God, that he has sent his revelation via messengers nor that man will be held to account and rewarded or punished with heaven or hell. Two of the major Sunni texts of `aqidah are available online in English. They should also be available in Arabic, but I cannot find `Aqidah at-Tahawiyya in Arabic online. I have also listed a link to a series of articles on `aqidah in the Doctrine section of a rather popular website. `Aqidah at Tahawiyya by Abu Ja`far at Tahawi Fiqh al Akbar, by Abu Hanifa articlesregarding `aqidah The Risalat al I`tiqadat of Shaykh Saduq ibn Babawiya is also available online in English. It is a Shia Islamic text of creed. Answered by pink - Mon Jan 28 13:10:12 2008 What is Islam aqidah regarding the death of Isa (as)? Q. :-) there are some views regarding the end of Isa (as) 1. Isa (as) does not death but ascended to heaven 2. Isa (as) death just like others human 3. Isa (as) was not crossed, but other person was 4. Isa (as) was crossed, but not death while in cross whatever the view will be, my basic question is "IF a muslim does not care about how Isa was ended (death/ascended, cross or not cross), what do you (Islamic rules) think about this muslim? peace :-) adamjar.. your quoted some ayats ... thanks. do you understand the implication of this ayat? To me, the real mystery is not whether Isa lived, died, or rose again...it's why the passages concerning his resurrection are so scarce. One would think there would have been much more written about it, but the scant little we have seems vague and confused. I would think there would have been great interest placed on his return (his return then, I mean) but instead, the emphasis, both in the Gospels and today, is still focused on his torture and death. This makes me suspicious about the whole thing, honestly, as if somebody knows something that they aren't telling. But that might have been the reason for the mystery, to arouse curiosity and entice would-be initiates into the religion. As long as the Isa prophesies in the… [cont.] Answered by unknown - Tue Jan 29 00:21:40 2008 How many usul al deen(main aqidah)do sunnis have?
