A spreadsheet is a computer application that simulates a paper worksheet. It displays multiple cells that together make up a grid consisting of rows and columns, each cell containing either alphanumeric text or numeric values. A spreadsheet cell may alternatively contain a formula that defines how the contents of that cell is to be calculated from the contents of any other cell (or combination of cells) each time any cell is updated. Spreadsheets are frequently used for financial information because of their ability to re-calculate the entire sheet automatically after a change to a single cell is made.

Visicalc is usually considered the first electronic spreadsheet (although this has been challenged), and it helped turn the Apple II computer into a success and greatly assisted in their widespread application. Lotus 1-2-3 was the leading spreadsheet when DOS was the dominant operating system. Excel is now considered to have the largest market share on the Windows and Macintosh platforms.

What does "unlocked" mean when used in reference to a cell phone being sold?
Q. I want to buy a cell phone on ebay and i noticed a lot of them say "unlocked." I have no idea what that means.

A. Unlocked means it will work on any GSM network. If you buy a T-Mobile phone for example, it only works with other T-Mobile SIM cards. However, if the phone is unlocked, any network with SIM cards can use the phone, not just T-Mobile.

In Microsoft Excel, will I be able to use formula to reference cell?
Q. like instead of referencing $A2 directly, can i do something like $A[1+1]??? apparently $A[1+1] is not valid format... I would appreciate any help on this issue.

A. what is it you are trying to do? you definitely want to reference the A column, but you want a formula to change or represent the row. is that right? you might be looking for the indirect formula =INDIRECT("$A"&1+1) or you could replace the 1+1 formula with a cell reference. you dont even need the $ anymore. =INDIRECT("A"&B1) A will still be the column, but here any number or formula result you put in B1 will be the row number. good luck.

A. most places charge now a days...it is called reverse search on the number. type Free reverse cell phone lookup and see what you get in Yahoo search window. It may give you ENOUGh info to get what you need. Like the name to go with the account etc... maybe not an address. since cell phone bounce from tower to tower and don't have an actual HOME. know what I mean...they search on the owner account address not where the cell phone is at that moment.
