A. I would go to the "tipico" shop on 106th and 19 next to Carbon de Palo. They have some wonderful Llama skin rugs with patterns that I have not seen anywhere else. You easily roll it up to fit in a suitcase. If she likes shoes.. get her a pair of Vicky Tcherassi. She has stores all over Bogota. The best one is close to the Andino mall. Id still, however, get her an Emerald.

What is the cheapest way to fly to Medellin, Colombia from Europe?
Q. I live in Holland and in januari/februari 2007 I'll be moving to Medellin, Colombia. I am now looking for a cheap one-way ticket to get there. Can anybody tell me what is the cheapest airline and/or route to take?
Asked by Bobby J - Sun Jul 30 13:07:04 2006 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Depending on the amount of time you buy your tickets in advanced, the best price you'll get. There are two major options, either take a flight to Bogota and make a connection to Medellin, or take a flight to Cartagena from Madrid flying in Air Madrid. I think you are better of if you fly through Bogota. Probably if you use Avianca you'll get the Bogota-Medellin for free. Avianca has direct flights to Bogota from Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and I'm not sure if Paris. Other wise, various airlines fly from Europe to Bogota: Lufthansa, Iberia, Air France, Continental.

A. i read in Time magazine earlier today that Obama has reservations about free trade with Colombia because of the way labor leaders are targeted there. "Unions and other skeptics of trade liberalization are arguing that the election results were a clear signal that the public is opposed to further trade agreements, and Democratic action on the Colombia deal would prompt a backlash from organized labor and other groups, which would be unhelpful, to say the least, to Obama's political honeymoon. In his final televised debate during his general election campaign against Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., Obama expressed clear concerns about the Colombia deal. "The history in Colombia right now is that labor leaders have been targeted for… [cont.]

What do most Colombians think of the United States and its relation to Colombia?
Q. The government of Alvaro Uribe is a close ally of the United States and my understanding is that he is quite popular in amongst his own people. However, what do Colombian citizens think of the United States and its relation to Colombia? Is Colombia an exception in a world rife with anti-American sentiment or is it mostly just the same? Please provide only informed answers. I am especially interested in hearing about public opinion polls you may be aware of or else the anecdotal opinions of Colombians you have met. Of course, if you yourself are Colombian I am quite curious to hear your own opinion.

Asked by lottery - Thu Jul 16 06:38:46 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The best way is if you're living in England is tho visit the Colombian consulate's website, the Visa section: and look at the requirements for a student visa. Be sure you bring everything needed for your appointment (look at the bottom "How to apply for a Colombian Visa section") at the consulate. If everything is ok, you should have your visa in five working days and you're all set. Hope you have a wonderful time in Colombia, its much better than how it sounds on the news.

It changes position and actually gets a bit small but that's OK, just click on it for the last time. It opens up quite large and the names of the rivers are readable. Mountains On the same map it shows the mountains - cordillera. Also, the following shows mountains:

A. You have to take your invitation to work to the Visa office near Parque 93. The Visa costs about 160 USD. Its good for two years. Then you have to go to DAS Extranjeria on calle 100 and get your cedula. You will have to show your VISA and get your blood tested, and some other stuff (Takes ALL day) It then you go pick it up in about 8-10 days.

I am in Medellin,Colombia and want to purchase some graviola. Can I get it locally?
Q. It is my understanding that graviola comes from the rain forest in Colombia as well as other areas. I would like to buy some.
Asked by silverwoodmtg - Wed Oct 31 11:30:22 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Graviola tree, also known as soursop, is found in the Amazon jungle and some of the Caribbean islands. The graviola tree (Annona muricata) produces a delicious fruit which is widely consumed by indigenous peoples. (There seems to be some confusion regarding calling the graviola fruit Brazilian pawpaw or papaw since fruits from other plant species may also be called pawpaw, such as the tropical fruit papaya (Carica papaya).) The fruit and the leaves of graviola are used in traditional medicine for their tranquillizing and sedative properties. I am not aware of any sellers or traders of this in your locality, but you can order it on the internet from a couple different sources.

A. I have several friends who live in Taiwan. I learned the following facts from them: * Colombia has no formal diplomatic relations with Taiwan. (If Colombia has a commercial office in Taiwan, it is very low profile, because it doesn't come up in most internet search engines. The Republic of China does have a commercial office in Bogota.) HENCE, it is a sure bet that the government of Colombia supports the internationally recognized "One China Policy," which denies the legitimacy of the "Republic of China" as a legal government for China. In other words, there is only One China in the world, and that is the People's Republic of China. Many countries (including Colombia presumably) then acknowledge that "Taiwan is a part of China."
