What do you think of Columbia Business School? How does its reputation compare to others in the top ten?
Q. I was recently admitted into Columbia's graduate school of business for my MBA. I also applied to a few other schools in the top ten, and have a good feeling about my chances of getting in. I would like your impression of Columbia Business School. Do you think it enjoys a reputation that is truly top-notch? How would you compare Columbia to, say, Harvard or Wharton's MBA program?

A. Congratulations! I suspect Columbia is more than enough to impress anyone on here, and should open plenty of doors for you in whatever your chosen field happens to be; plus, you'll have your pick of internships in New York. No, I don't think it has quite the reputation of Wharton or Harvard, but if you have the luxury of being able to pick at that level of selectivity, go with the school that's the best fit for you.

How do i get accepted into Columbia University, with these grades, and what can i do?
Q. What can i do to still qualify into Columbia? I'm a freshman at highschool, and i slacked alot and my grades were not that good here it is: English: A+ Geometry: C Biology: B Spanish:B Health: A But through the next semester i will be getting a 4.0 and i'm going to try alot harder in highschool and take honors classes. And i have a tremendous amount of community service. I need honest answers please, thank you! Do i still have a chance on getting into Columbia University? Help please!

A. Grades are very important as well as your participation in extracurricular activities. However, Columbia also favors students whom they know they can raise to be leaders. The school wants students who take the initiative, are innovative thinkers, and not only want to be part of the change in the world, but to be the change itself. You should continue to do well in your courses, but also definitely make the most out of your community service experience. Grades are one thing and after a while, students just become a spectrum of numbers to the admissions committee... but personal and motivated experience comes from the individual, and here's where your expertise can take you far above your competition. HOw do I clean my waterproof Columbia ski jacket?
Q. I have a Columbia ski jacket with an inner removeable shell. The outer shell is waterproof and the inner shell is quilted with a fleece neck lining (that I really want to clean). How should I do so? Thanks!

A. There should be a care instruction tag on each piece. I checked Columbia's site and didn't find specifics when looking at this type of product. Here's their Customer Service Dept. ; give them a call. This is the Best Answer I can offer.
