How would I restrict users access on a Win 2000 domain to certain directories during off hours?
Q. I need to restrict access to a handful of directories during evening hours, but still allow users access to other directories. Restricting login hours with GPO seems to be an all or nothing proposal and will not work for what we are doing. Is there another possible solution?

A. There is no facility in Windows 2000 server that allows you to do this. I am pretty sure there are add-on tools that allow this. One way to do this might be to run a scheduled job that runs a script that resets the "hidden" attribute on the directories at a certain time each night, then reveres when they're done. You could possibly use some kind of vbs or windows script to do this.

Is it legal for a hotel to modify Yellow Pages directories available to their guests?

Is it legal for the management of a hotel to remove an entire section of advertising from each and every Yellow Pages directory placed in their guest rooms simply because the management of the hotel does not like the (totally legal) service being advertiseed? In this case, it's the Escort Services ads that they've removed, but it might just as well be tattoo parlours, abortion services, divorce lawyers, gun dealers, mosques -- can the management of a hotel that accepts and makes available Yellow Pages directories modify them before making them available to their guests? And if so, do they have an obligation to inform their guests of this prior to or at the time of booking?

A. To be honest, I've never seen a blog directory that will allow blogs with any kind of adult theme or content. I think you're better off trying to submit to Digg or StumbleUpon.

Now it is more important to have lot's of clear desciptive text on each page, and, very importantly, that the titles of your pages be very reflective of their content and not too generic.
