Islam considers Jesus to be one of the greatest and most forbearing of prophets. We also believe Jesus was neither killed. They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but (another) was made to resemble him to them (Quran 4:157) There is no need for God, a son of God, or even a Prophet of God to sacrifice himself for mankind s sins in order to buy forgiveness. A. they tried to kill jesus so allah took jesus to heaven and changed the appearance of the guy that was at the front of the mob so that he looked like jesus...so it was the guy who wanted jesus dead who had to suffer..not some innocent bystander who was just there..
