How much reading should be assigned in a community college class? How many pages is fair? How much is too much or too little? Asked by JJ - Thu Aug 9 15:50:51 2007 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. You can't put an actual number. It depends a lot on what class it is and other factors. Whatever is assigned is fair because everyone has to do that amount. Answered by Linkin - Thu Aug 9 16:01:12 2007 Do professors really read our papers if the class has to turn in 20 page papers? Q. Do professors really read our papers if the class has to turn in 20 page papers? I mean that's a lot of reading for the professor if he/she has a class of 20-30 and each person turns in a 20 page paper. Do they really read them? Asked by macko - Tue Jul 15 10:41:27 2008 - - 8 Answers - 0 Comments A. Yes we do, it is a central part of our job. I for one make sure that I make some sort of mark or comment on every page of each essay just to be sure the student knows I've considered the whole essay. I also provide a full page of general comments in addition to what I've written on the essay itself. I have no respect at all for any professor who skimps on this. I should also though tell you that after years of teaching we get really, really good at this and it does not necessarily take as long as you think it might to go through an essay. Answered by CanProf - Tue Jul 15 10:49:52 2008 For my english class I need to write a satire thats 2 pages. Does anyone have ideas or can help me get started
Q. So I chose to do a satire on gas prices. Any idea on how I can make it 2 pages?? Asked by Jennifer H - Sun May 13 12:43:15 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. The aim of satire is the denunciation of vices in society. You could choose something that has to do with your immediate environment (school?), and then you have to denounce it in a humorous way. Jonathan Swift, one of the greatest satirists, wanted to denounce the way the poor Irish were treated in his time, and he chose to imagine a very serious treatise in which he suggested that the best way to fight poverty and famine in Ireland was to eat young children. So, by using provocative argument, he denounced the inhuman way in which people were treated in his country. Maybe you could read it (if you haven't) it could give you some ideas: Answered by Lady Annabella - Sun May 13 13:05:25 2007 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Class Pages" |
