A. Maximum of 435 players (total teams) x [(healthy players)+(injured reserve)]= total 29 x (12+3) insert numbers =(29x12)+(29x3) use distrubutive prop. a(b+c)=ab+ac =348+87 simplify =435

How do I get into homework again and stop being disorganized and lazy?
Q. Last year, I had great grades, managed my homework, and kept everything organized. I was a hard worker who strove for the best. But this year, I hardly ever do all of my homework. I procrastinate on everything, and I am so disorganized, I lose everything! Please give me some ways I can get back in the swing again!

A. I had the same problem way back when. An English teacher gave me a boost needed to break through the wall of boredom. She said that last year I knew myself, this year i seem to have lost myself or my identity. Last year I put my personality into my work. My answers could have been mixed with 100 other kids answers and she could have told me which one was mine even if the answer was incorrect. I had a style. This year I have looked at other people, wanting to change my character, my attitude, my personality, trying to imitate others instead of reaching back to the core of who I am. How many hours of homework should an 8th grade honors student get in the US?
Q. I am an 8th grade honors student (my honors science teaches 2 years worth of science in one, earth science and physics, and I am in 9th grade honors math). My homework takes anywhere from 3 hours to 10 hours, depending on how much I have. Is this normal? Or is my school crazy? I go to a public school, but it's ranked quite high on CAT scores. All my friends take this long also, and we're all drinking coffee and Pepsi (because it has caffeine) because we have to stay awake. I have no time just to hang out somewhere, or play video games at my friend's house, or anything. I gave up playing PC games, and I love PC games- all I want now is some time with my friends. So, is this normal or NOT?

A. That is soo normal. When I was in middle school, it was normal to study and do homework every night for one hour per class. I had nine subjects that I was taking, and I would get home at 3:00pm and wouldn't go to be until 12:00, if I was lucky. High school is a lot better, usually. So, keep your chin up since by working hard now, it'll pay off later. Trust me :D
