Q. what is gottfried wilhelm leibniz's contribution in communication theory? i've tried searching it over the internet but can't find a satisfactory answer. leibniz is an all rounder, a genius in so many fields. but it's almost impossible to find a good article which provides info on why he is considered important in theory of communication. seriously hoping at least one of you can help me out. thank you very much.

A. He was a mathematician who invented "The Calculus" before Isaac Newton did. He believed that by creating a perfect philosophical language we could resolve many puzzles. The problem with natural language is the proliferation of synonyms. If there were one word for each idea, then we get a perfect mathematical correspondence. This idea shows up in his most comical book, "The monadology"

A. I don't think he said that, because he believed that all manner of things start from two basic concepts: 1. God 2. Nothingness As such, nothingness exists in the absence of God and consequently...everything else too.
