From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. Mind (pronounced /ˈmaɪnd/) is the aspect of intellect and consciousness experienced as combinations of thought, perception, memory, emotion, will and imagination, including all unconscious cognitive processes. The term is often used to refer, by implication, to the thought processes of reason. Mind manifests itself subjectively as a stream of consciousness. Theories of mind and its function are numerous. Earliest recorded speculations are from the likes of Zoroaster, the Buddha, Plato, Aristotle, Adi Shankara and other ancient Greek, Indian and, later, Islamic philosophers. Pre-scientific theories grounded in theology concentrated on the supposed relationship between the mind and the soul, our supernatural, divine or god-given essence. Most contemporary theories, informed by scientific study of the brain, theorize that the mind is an epiphenomenon of the brain which has both conscious and unconscious aspects. Which attributes make up the mind is much debated. Some argue that only the higher intellectual functions constitute mind, particularly reason and memory. In this view the emotions—love, hate, fear, joy—are more primitive or subjective in nature and should be seen as different from the mind as such. Others argue that various rational and emotional states cannot be so separated, that they are of the same nature and origin, and should therefore be considered all part of what we call the mind. In popular usage mind is frequently synonymous with thought: the private conversation with ourselves that we carry on "inside our heads." Thus we "make up our minds," "change our minds" or are "of two minds" about something. One of the key attributes of the mind in this sense is that it is a private sphere to which no one but the owner has access. No one else can "know our mind." They can only interpret what we consciously or unconsciously communicate. From Wikipedia under the

Answered by Cy Angst - Wed Apr 12 12:53:40 2006 How do you unclutter your mind so you can grasp concepts quicker? Q. Lately I have been having trouble grasping concepts. I can read an essay or read my notes and no matter how many times I read them, I don't get the full idea. My mind is constantly cluttered. I do yoga to calm myself down. It helps bring peace but my mind is still cluttered. It feels like my brain is just "clenched". I don't know how to explain it. If anyone else feels this way, what do you do to free your mind of thoughts and ideas and unclutter it? Asked by veena - Sun Nov 4 17:53:30 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Q. I think that our daily life is much dependent upon the trust & faith in between all of us, whether we talk about family & relationships or talk about business or any other field where people meet. Every thing is attached with trust. Upon some people we trust more & there are also others who are distrustful. I think there are some parameters which should be kept in mind to win some one's trust, I know few, rest is expected from you like wise people. The first and foremost thing that to be kept in mind while gaining someones trust is that never to break that trust. I have seen people who have got the attitude like " promises are meant to be broken"...But i think people should not have such type of attitude. Be honest and truthful. Dont leave truth, No matter it will give you sooo much of pain in your life, but remember truth always leads in the end. And ya be a trustworthy person...that's whats all required...tc...sweet dreamz...bye... ***dO wh@tEvEr yOuR hE@rT $@yZ...***.
