The rules of the road are laws or practices which all road users must obey; many relate specifically to motor vehicles or subtypes of them. Some common types of motor vehicle:

In the United States, a motor vehicle is "a vehicle, not run on rails, that is designed to be self propelled or propelled by electric power obtained from overhead trolley wires, but does not include a motor assisted cycle."[citation needed]

Is there a law in New Jersey where you are only allowed two times to plead down on motor vehicle tickets?
Q. In court cases for motor vehicle infractions, the usual procedure is to plead for a higher dollar penalty, but not receive points on your license. Someone has told me that the state enacted a law that limits the pleading to only twice.

A. Hey - Yes, that is true, you can only plead to 'unsafe driving' (a no point ticket with higher fines) twice in a limited time period. And, if you get a third ticket after that, you can end up w/ the points from the ones you plead back - drive carefully!
