What is a good song I can use for an outreach program photo montage?
Q. I want to make a feel good music video of our outreach program. I have already used the song Ain't no mountain high enough to our previous outreach activities so, I am thinking of other songs I could use for the photo montage. Actually, I am considering song from any genre as long as it is appreciated by the youth and the "oldies". Any suggestions? Thanks in advance... :) Because you loved me is good. But I don't want the photo montage to be kind of sappy in a way. :)

How can I start an after school program & profit organization that does community outreach.?
Q. I want to start an after school program where high school students can earn college credit but also be able to take courses at a college level (i.e at local community colleges.) I also want to create a profit organization that gives out scholarships to high school students, creates educational content for outreach purposes.

A. I understand what you are saying about the High school students earning college credit their are several programs that are out there, it depends on where you live. Were you saying NON-profit or FOR profit organization, either way there is an easier path to go the Non-profit route. Here are a few links that should help: good luck!

What if President Obama s pledged outreach to the Taliban is mistaken by our enemies as sign of weakness?
Q. What if that extension is met with al-Qaida's still clenched fist?
Asked by Sean - Sat Oct 17 02:27:09 2009 - - 11 Answers - 0 Comments
A. It IS a sign of weakness so they wouldnt be mistaken. Obama in his inexperience and flat stupidity doesnt realize that negotiating in such ways with terrorist style groups shows that if such groups act up...it WORKS and they get what they want. It enables other groups tobe as bold...and they WILL. He makes SO many political mistakes because he in his arrogance thinks he invented the art of compromise. What he forgets is that smart leaders DO NOT do those thigs becuase past ones that did were epic failures. He shouldve taken some political science and history with his Law Courses...he is out of his league.

I need some ideas for an outreach project to do with children?
Q. The children range in age from about 4-10 and I only have an hour, so I need something that is contained in that time frame and is craft-like. I am trying to think of an idea that will benefit others and be enjoyable for the children.
Asked by Avon - Wed Feb 28 20:52:33 2007 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments
A. you could have each child decorate a card/flower pot/something of your choosing, and then deliver them to a nursing home, or a children's/cancer ward at a local hospital. i have done that a few times with different groups of kids, and it allows kids of all ages to do what they can with their craft, and the people on the receiving end are so grateful!! good luck!

Is the part of Chicago where Barack and Michelle did their 20 year community outreach now a model area?
Q. Shouldn't the state of Illinois be the model state of the Union because Obama is such good at change?

A. Being from Chicago, let me explain. Chicago is like 2 cities. You have the Noth side, which is racially mixed, there is no segregation. People are more accepting of things and it's just a really nice part of town. Plus we have the Cubbies (Cubs). The south side is like a different city. You still have your black neighborhoods and white neighborhoods and you don't cross the line. They have an Archie Bunker mentality, that's where most of the gangs are, but in contrast you also have on the south side the fabulous museums. The museum of Science and Industry, The Field Museum of Natural History and the Shedd Aquarium. The north side has the Art Institute. To answer your question, no it's hardly a model area. It's still more of a black slummy… [cont.]

What kind of creative events has your church organized for community outreach?
Q. such as free car washes and so on; things other than Bible-thumping.
Asked by New Leaf - Fri May 8 14:52:22 2009 - - 11 Answers - 0 Comments
A. We do little bible thumping, we give to needy, we help with disaster relief, we help with teen pregnancy, feed the poor, have a huge program for the mentally challenged kids, have a hoops shoot for all kids, give many scholarships. Our Church served as a shelter after a tornado, gave away food, helped the red cross. Counseling and other help for young mothers. We operate a clothing for the poor store, give 10% to help feed the needy in other countries, have missions to help them cook, farm, and eat more healthy. We sponsor youth sports, support College students, and have a School that people can attend regardless of income or Religion. All paid by the Church... That was just off the top of my head. Thanks for asking!!!

What is the Harvard Outreach Program exactly?
Q. Is it some test you have to take and then they hand you a full scholarship ? Obama got it , and one of my neighbours (I live in Canada) got it as well.
Asked by Mark A - Sun Jan 4 13:39:32 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. You need to do some reading on the Harvard website: it does say that their awarding financial aid is strictly based on family need, and not academics, so I doubt there is a test. Things likely have changed since Obama was there.

A. Why do Protestants hate Christ's Church but Catholics love Protestants? We Catholics would never tell non-Catholic Christians what they believe but instead accept their statements of their belief; although, unlike the Catholic faith, there is usually no source to verify their beliefs as it is with Catholics where one can go to the Catechism and see exactly what Catholics believe. Therefore in this modern age of instant information, via the computer, there is no excuse when one bears false witness against Christ s Church and the faithful. A. Think you should volunteer at a local clinic, rehab, health centre, etc., and find out if it is what you really want to do before you commit yourself to years of study for a speciality you aren't too fond of. Network specialist requires some training, you could start that at the same time and your heart will tell you which is best for you.
