How to practice putting in contact lenses ?
Q. I went to the optometrist yesterday to practice putting in my first pair of contact lenses. I could not do it. After about five minutes of trying, the lens tore. Now they have to order me a new lens and it will take about a week. I have now a week to practice so that I don't have trouble when I go back this Friday. Can I practice keeping my eyelids open while touching my eye with my index finger, or can it hurt my eye if I touch it with a bare finger? Any tips?

A. First start with a drop of contact solution on your finger and then hold the lashes back and touch you eye. The hardest thing to do is not blink. You have to control your blink. Hold the lash back and open the eye as far as you can. Also if the contact folds do not try to get it open. Put it in the palm of your hand and put some solution in your palm and rub it around to get it open. When you go to put the contact in your eye you might try to put a drop of the solution on the contact and then try to put it in your eye. Just practice holding your lashes up and opening your eye. Just use some solution on your finger. Hopes this helps.

How do you practice/improve coloring with color pencils and shading in drawings?
Q. I've been asked by a friend to draw kingdom hearts-type kind of style drawings for his stories. I really need to work on coloring and shading, but I find coloring uhh difficult...Is there a way to practice/or any tips on how to color drawings beautifully?

A. this not an easy thing you can learn in a short time, it takes years to improve it. my advise you to look up some photos and see how the shading works, look at anime and real photos, that really helped me. you can try looking at these: about the coloring you can use water colors, that's what i like to do, it gives the drawing some life in it, if you don't like water coloring then try using ordinary color pencil to do the job, the trick in color pencils is to know when to harden your pencil and when to make it light, you can do that by choosing an angle where you want the light to shine, then try to make it light form there and goes darker as you go further from the angle. i hope i helped you, it's my first answer so forgive me if… [cont.]

How often should i practice violin?
Q. I play violin i am a bit more than intermediate and i need a practice schedule anyone who also plays violin? that can help me?
Asked by Lemonlimex2 - Mon Jun 2 17:06:27 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It depends greatly on what you're looking to get out of playing. It never hurts to practice more. Are you trying to become a professional or are you just playing for enjoyment? I, myself, am a 9th year violinist in 11th grade and I practice 2-3 hours a day because I intend to play professionally. My high-school orchestra director requests 40mins a day (in addition to the 80 min classes every other day during school).
