Answered by funschooling m - Tue Mar 27 15:53:54 2007 Really big families, how do you live? Q. I've always been curious how REALLY large families (i.e. 10 kids or more) live. That is, what kind of car do you use that you can cart that many kids around, or do you just take multiple cars everywhere? How many kids do you room together? Do you homeschool, or send them to public or private school? I know several families with lots of kids, but they're all lower or middle class, so I wondered how they made ends meet. I'd like a lot of kids someday, so I'm curious about this. Any information would be helpful. Thanks! Asked by luckytacs - Tue Jun 16 21:15:16 2009 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments A. I come from a big family with 8 brothers and 2 sisters. I am child number 7 and am also the oldest daughter. As kids, we use to all pile into two cars (my brother's small car and my dad's big suburban) whenever we go somewhere. My mom was a homemaker and stayed home to take care of the family while my dad worked a night job. My older brothers who were 8+ helped my mom to take care of us younger ones. Everyone attended public schools. Most of us went to the same elementary, middle and high school because that way it was easier for my mom to attend school conferences and activities for everyone. I would describe my family as a middle class family. My dad was the only one providing for my family. We used to lived in a 4-bedroom house until… [cont.] Answered by Extravaganza - Tue Jun 16 22:06:34 2009 Can anyone recommend an affordable, accredited homeschool program?
Q. My children are 11 and 9. We are a military family "on the move", so to speak, and we need consistent educational resources. We would prefer a secular program. Your children will do the work at home and will send it in a be graded by teachers. I hope this helps you! and happy teaching. When I have children, I plan to teach them at home also very rewarding!
