Yahoo News and CNN were talking about the Youtube video featuring a baby Water buffalo being attacked by Lions and then Crocodiles. And yet they all list the attack from Lions and Alligators. Are they that stupid to believe that Alligators live in Africa? The film was shot in Kruger National Park in South Africa. There are no alligators there... Don't these people check their sources? Asked by KC - Thu Aug 9 12:39:01 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Most reporters are graduates of university-based schools of journalism. A quick check of the curriculum of these schools will show there is no core curriculum requirement for the study of geography, science, history, etc. They come away with the ability to read and write press releases. The anchors in the U.S. belong to the same trade union as Jay Leno and David Letterman: American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. As for checking sources, even the best in the industry don't do that too well. In 1988, Dan Rather hosted an award winning TV documentary entitled "The Wall Within". It purported to show how the lives of several men had been changed, physically and emotionally, by their service in Vietnam. None had ever been in… [cont.] Answered by desertviking_00 - Thu Aug 9 12:49:44 2007 How likely is it that the news media ask Palin all the questions they SHOULD'VE asked Obama? Q. It should be perfectly predictable. The leftist vulchers in the media are going to attempt to hold this woman's feet the to the fire...and probably are going to hit below the belt. question is this...how obvious is it going to be the tougher they are w/ her...the more Obama got a complete pass? Are people going to notice that? Asked by Chris J - Sun Aug 31 15:09:04 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. Only those of us not under the influence of the kool-aid being served up by the spawn of satan will notice, as we already have, that the corrupt, biased, liberal media networks have an agenda and it's not for the good of the people. They have betrayed the American public. Answered by Fed up! - Sun Aug 31 15:20:37 2008 Will news media ever be in touch with main street again via human interest stories?
Q. All news stations have focused on Wall Street for years and years, with no main street human interest stories, like how are foreclosed or unemployed people coping and surviving. It's not worth my monthly cable payment anymore for the out of touch news that doesn't even hardly mention real life, except as a statistic. Asked by healing wings - Sat Nov 15 07:08:00 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Right now, it seems like newspapers are doing a better job with human interest stories than broadcast outlets. Perhaps because they have more time, better staff writers, more responsive to public demand for such stories, whatever. Anyway, one can only hope the TV stations will follow suit. In the meantime, some of the "fluffier" shows, like Good Morning America, do tend to concentrate on this type of story.
