Canada (pronounced /ˈkænədə/) is a country occupying most of northern North America, extending from the Atlantic Ocean in the east to the Pacific Ocean in the west and northward into the Arctic Ocean. It is the world's second largest country by total area and shares the world's longest common border with the United States to the south and northwest. The land occupied by Canada was inhabited for millennia by various groups of Aboriginal people. Beginning in the late 15th century, British and French expeditions explored, and later settled along, the Atlantic coast. France ceded nearly all of its colonies in North America in 1763 after the Seven Years' War. In 1867, with the union of three British North American colonies through Confederation, Canada was formed as a federal dominion of four provinces. This began an accretion of provinces and territories and a process of increasing autonomy from the United Kingdom. This widening autonomy was highlighted by the Statute of Westminster of 1931 and culminated in the Canada Act of 1982, which severed the vestiges of legal dependence on the British parliament. A federation comprising ten provinces and three territories, Canada is a parliamentary democracy and a constitutional monarchy, with Queen Elizabeth II as its head of state. It is a bilingual and multicultural country, with both English and French as official languages both at the federal level and in the province of New Brunswick. One of the world's highly developed countries, Canada has a diversified economy that is reliant upon its abundant natural resources and upon trade—particularly with the United States, with which Canada has had a long and complex relationship. It is a member of the G8, G-20 major economies, NATO, OECD, WTO, Commonwealth of Nations, Francophonie, OAS, APEC, and United Nations. From Wikipedia under the

Q. I'm quite confused right after I choose print the shipping label and choose Canada Post as the shipping carrier on ebay what do I've to do from there on? Do I've to measure the dimensions and weight myself cause I don't have a scale. Asked by bodhihoang - Wed Jun 11 11:42:32 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. If you've already printed the shipping label, the measurements are specified in order to pay for the shipping price. You just have to attach the label onto the package and put it in the mail. For instance, if you chose "Thick envelope or small package" it will calculate for you. However, it asked for the weight to charge your account for the label. You may wish to verify what you entered. There is currently a backlog of around 900,000 and Canada only admits 250,000 per year. Legislation was passed recently to speed up the process, but it is likely that it will speed it up by raising the bar for entry. If you go to the website you will see that they suggest that you don't bother applying if you don't have the required points. Answered by hanora - Wed Jun 11 14:22:26 2008 How to I transfer money from Canada to a Bank of China account in Hong Kong?
Q. Does anyone know what the steps are to transfer money from Canada to a Bank of China account in Hong Kong? I don't have a Bank of China account, but I think I could transfer money via my own bank account, or walk into the Bank of China branch in Canada and do the transfer? However, what is involved with this process? Service charge? How long does it take? How secure is it? If anyone has done it, and can share your knowledge and/or experience, that would be greatly appreciated! Thank you. Asked by aawwianng - Tue Mar 18 11:52:25 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. The best thing you can do is to visit the bank (your bank where you have an account or the bank that you are going to send the money from). There, go to the custumer care officer and I am sure your questions above will be professionally, completely, clearly answered.
