Justice is a concept involving the fair, moral, and impartial treatment of all persons. In its most general sense, it means according individuals what they actually deserve or merit, or are in some sense entitled to. Justice is a particularly foundational concept within most systems of "law". From the perspective of pragmatism, it is the name for a fair result.

What all is involved in criminal justice schooling?
Q. I plan to go to school to receive my bachelor's in criminal justice as a prerequisite to join the local police force, but I am curious as to what all is involved in it. Can anyone let me know what all I will be learning, what all I will be doing, ect? Thank you very much.

A. It really depends on where you going. If is a bachelor's of arts or science. Overall in with a bachelor's of arts you study the system of criminal justice. Everything from police systems and how they work to community corrections and how they work. You can narrow your focus to just studying about the police systems. I got by degree in Criminal Justice. I ended up trying to study everything. I took courses in Gangs, Police and Police Systems, Correctional Counseling, Community Corrections, Women and Violence, Terrorism, Hate Crime and Policy. The main courses they like you to study are Statistics in Criminal Justice to understand how they come up with various forms of data. And Therories, its mainly a course to understand what works and… [cont.]

Has justice become a mask of power only for the prosecution to exploit their supremacy?
Q. Can there be any true justice when we are only determined to win at all cost. Finding no truth? Only for victory? The whole point of justice is for truth. So you are saying that justice should only be for the wealthy? Just is bought according to you? I thought justice was supposed to be blind? Yes I agree that the defense also plays a part in abusing the sight of justice. Twisting their words.

A. There are prosecutors who want to win at all costs. Their job is supposed to be "seek justice" (as most of the statutes in most states will read, loosely). Seeking justice doesn't mean putting people away unconditionally. Mike Nifong was an extreme and high-profile example of something that has been a problem with prosecutors for a long time. However, there are defense lawyers who will do just about anything, including lying, in order to get their clients off the hook. O.J.'s defense team is an example. The famous line in the closing argument on which the reasonable doubt hinged "if the glove does not fit, you must acquit" was a scheme cooked up by O.J.'s defense team. They advised him not to take his arthritis (anti-inflammatory)… [cont.]

What if a Supreme Court Justice is unfit for duty and refuses to resign?
Q. I can't seem to figure this out anywhere on the web. I know that a Supreme Court Justice, once appointed, serves as a justice for life, unless he/she resigns. But what if they become unfit for duty, like they become deathly ill and they can't function correctly? Thnx in advance.

A. a Supreme Court Justice cannot be impeached for being deathly ill. The court will just work around that situation same as they do when a justice retires and before another is appointed.*
