Looking for a good graduate school program is very different from looking for a good college. In college, it's all about "how well respected" the school is, but in graduate school, the university itself does not really matter much. If you are looking to get a Ph.d (which I expect, because you listed research interests), the faculty advisor (mentor) you work with in graduate school will be FAR more important than *where* you are at. A. You really need the book Rocket to Riches which you can get by going here: It has a zillion ideas and budgets, etc. and what to sell online, etc. Also, an eBay store only costs 14.95 a month. The main thing about eBay is pick a niche' and focus. Build up your positive feedback by buying some products (even cheap ones). You really do not need any employees because with eBay you can automate everything - even your replies. You will need a PayPal premier business account. And it has lots of merchant and auction tools for free. Hope this helps and hasn't been too confusing. A good place for research is actually your local library. They have tons of eBay business books and software.

What would be a good research paper topic with any theme about war, religion, history?
Q. I need a research topic for a collegiate level research paper for my english class. I have interest in war, religion, and/or its effect on the history of a certain place. If not, what other social issues could I talk about in the Philippines. Hopefully there would be a lot of sources so I could make a long one because this would be a major paper. Thanks!

A. Well, religion might be good topic, as the Philippines have a major religion: Catholic. This could make your research easier. On that research, you could discuss about the first time that religion came, how it was spread, the figures behind this spreading Other topic is to make a research about their language, Tagalog. This will be interesting because this paper is from English class. So, you might make about the comparing how was the English spread and how was the Tagalog spread.

What is a good online database for research?
Q. I have a summer research project and I can honestly say that I've done online research before, but that was about two years ago and I can't remember the site. So...where should I start my research online? Please, don't tell me to go to the library, I was already planning on it haha.

What is the best way to research hundreds of companies' financial statements?
Q. I would like to do stock research on public companies using their financial statements on spreadsheet. I would like to downloand them to Excel for my investment research. Punching numbers by hand is hassle I need many companies. What is the best way? What I want to do is customized ratio analysis, for example sales volatility calculation, of multiple companies in the easiest way.

There are two Yahoo groups that can help you get a lot of information into EXCEL from the web: The first group has files in the library that use combinations of VBA and web queries to get information into EXCEL. The discussion board can also be very helpful in helping you find specific solutions. The second one is my group. In the files area, you can find a free open-source EXCEL add-in, documentation, and templates that can grab information from the web using user-defined functions. One good source for an enormous amount of quarterly and annual financial data is AdvFN. For example, on IBM: Click on the "Annual Reports" and "Quarterly Reports" button for the detailed info. There is also a "data downloads" button on that page… [cont.]
