A. The SWOT consists of 4 components: Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats. These are factors in the internal and external business environment that could affect your business. In your case, I can think of a few: Strengths: This represents the internal strengths of the company, or 'what makes your company "better" than others'. Some examples could include; Reputation, location, strong relationships with suppliers/customers, skilled and diligent workforce. Weaknesses: This is the weakness of the company and the areas in which it's not good at. Possible examples could be poor past sales performance, lack of qualified staff, bad location, etc. Opportunities: This refers to what goes on outside your company which you have no control… [cont.]

A. the textile industry already exists in all nations. I think you mean work within it. Making what? YOU need machines, a college grad with a BS in biz, English skills and management skills. Deal with SWOT during your 3rd year, do not bother with it for a while; it is an efficiency and cost reduction system and you have no basis for it yet.

Q. How can I develop the SWOT?
Asked by sky - Sun Jul 1 22:19:10 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. A SWOT stands for Strengths/Weaknesses/Oppo rtunities/Threats -- strenghts and weaknesses are internal to the company -- areas like competent management, patent exclusivity, innovation are strengths..."me too" product, costly production line, are examples of weaknesses. Opportunities and Threats are external to the company -- a growing population of potential customers are opportunities...threats would be increased regulation or competition. I would recommend document your SWOT in a 2 x 2 table format to limit the SWOT to one page. I hope this helps.

A. Strengths 1. There are lot of China Towns in most cities of US and Canada. They offer a convenient cover and a well established base for the operation of these gangs 2. Members of a particular gang are related with each other either by blood relations or through GUANXI. Its very difficult for the outsiders to penetrate these gangs. 3. Any gang has transcontinental presence. So if there is too much pressure from law enforcement authorities they can run away to other country and operate their illegal activities from there. 4. The gang members are multilingual. Whereas police forces in US don't know Chinese languages, they can talk among themselves all illegal activities even in front of police. weakness 1. A. 'SWOT' stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. Organisations use this to analyse the internal and external business environments to build their strategies on, and use it to achieve their goal. It works like this; say for example if Company X were to begin exporting Food Product M to Country Y; They would need to identify strengths. They may for example have more than enough capital (money) to carry out the campaign, and they may have a high enough production capacity to benefit from 'economies of scale'. Company X could use these strengths to their advantage and incorporate them into their strategy. Company X would need to identify it's weaknesses. Company X's brand name and reputation might be weak, so they would… [cont.]

A. Strategic ? What? The organization can evaluate all of the business processes currently in place and evaluate if the processes can be enhanced or replaced electronically. So they will apply SWOT (Strength/Weaknesses/Oppo rtunites/Threats) analysis to each potential process to see if it is worthwhile to the business to do it electronically.
