Is it permissible to read farz only in salah?
Q. I have had different answers from many people. Some say you can read your farz only as this is obligatory and sunnat and nafl are optional. Others say you must not miss out any of these or your prayer will not be accepted. Im asking because at home I read my prayer in full, but at work I just read my farz. Please advise!

A. Read, sunnet and nafils it's best, at work, read faraz and sunnet because you wouldn't like to loose lot's of grace of god for some minutes. So, read sunnet if you have more time read nafils as well. Good Luck!!

What is the best way to calculate the Salah times?
Q. Please see the following link. Which calculation time is more accurate and what are the different methods of calculating? My question is about the variations in the calculations. For example, one schedule may list Zhur time at 1:15 and the other may list it at 12:45. What method of calculation is more accurate?

A. Assalamu Alaikum, Download an Azaan Program from . and your computer will make Azaan every time. Basic program is Free and better one cost money Let me know if you still need to find Salat times. I shall let you know old ways when Muslims didn't have watches and computers or you are on hunting trip in mountains and forgot to carry your watch also.

Why do some people offer Salah with their arms crossed and some with arms down?
Q. What is the proper way to offer prayer, with arms crossed or down? whats Maliki mathhab? and is there a hadith that says we can offer prayer with our hands down?
Asked by Nessie - Sun May 4 19:17:33 2008 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh&hf) has said: "Perform your prayers as you saw me performing my prayers." Crossing the hands voids the prayers in the Imamiyyah school of thought since it deemed as the habit of the Magi.[1] In the Hanafi and Shafi'i schools, it is recommended (mustahhab) to cross the hands. The Shafi'i school says to cross the right hand on top of the left above the belly, while the Hanafi says to hold the hands below the belly. Ref: [1] al-Kafi, al-Kulayni, 3:336; al-Ta'dhib, al-Tusi, 2:84 and 2:309

Can one perform Salah with stained clothing?
Q. On an item of clothing one wears there are some blood stains. The clothing is washed but the blood stains are not removed. Would the item of clothing be considered tahir and could Salah be offered whilst wearing such an item
Asked by All Star - Sun Dec 14 13:58:38 2008 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments
A. If you can't get the stain out by washing and scrubbing, then you can pray in the stained clothes. It's better to put on something nice to pray in, though.

Question about inability to perform Salah?
Q. Does the Qur'an say anything about how to pray if one is unable to prostrate? i realize there weren't wheelchairs back then but is there a certain way to do it if you are unable?
Asked by pyaramor37 - Wed Dec 10 18:16:48 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. If anyone is sick or bed ridden after an operation etc. They can sit or lie down to pray its not a problem and if they are incapable of performing Wudu then they can use a stone and rub there hands then face and are clean to pray. Everything is made easy no one need miss Salat. Sometimes I have really bad sciatica or when I was heavily pregnant it was too difficult for me to prostrate so I did my prays sitting in a chair. Everything I did was the same and in my head I was performing the correct movements and my intentions where to perform my prayers as best I could in the circumstances that I found myself in. Hope that explains it a little for you.
