write a letter to the principal of the school for improvement in the school?
Q. plz write this letter to me bec. i had to write this letter to my principal.thank u ok bye.

A. If you want someone to write the letter for you, which is no ones responsibility but yours, then you will need to give a lot more information than you have given. What points are you trying to get across? And also, it may be more effective to write to the school board, not the principal.

Q. Prepare action plan where you can reflect the involvement of Parent teachers Association in school improvement?
Asked by ramti - Sun May 3 08:30:44 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Actually, teachers do create action plans. It's a part of committee work to develop a larger strategy than what goes on in any one classroom. A little advice. You have been directed to "prepare [an] action plan". Okay, to do what? You must have a goal, an end in mind. School improvement? Okay, in what area? Improve reading scores? School attendance? One might think that change happens within the school. Yes, but that's not the only place. It happens at home. How do you get the parents involved? Individual teachers could contact the parents of their students, yes, and that might be a good thing, but could the Parent-Teachers Association also be involved? How would you involve them? What could they do? So, decide what to… [cont.]

Why is after-school tutoring a good improvement in all schools?
Q. Please help me i have a persuasive essay due tomorrow and i cant come mup with any good reasons. i need 3 reasons why this will be a great improvement for studentsz.please help!!!
Asked by Shay92 - Wed Feb 6 15:35:17 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. You need to find reasons why Tutoring is good in General. That is pretty much the right question, yours is worded weirdly. I'm not gonna give you the answer, because I cannot technically do that, but here are some Ideas: -It gives kids a fact checking source -It makes sure kids do their work -It makes sure they get their work done while their mind is still fresh from a day of school. -It gives kids access to someone who can answer questions for them. That's about all I can help you with, so you'll need facts to back this up.

A. It seems that most students complain about the school lunches more than anything. I would write about improving school lunches. More variety, better quality food, etc... Hope this gives you an idea or at least gets the creative juices flowing.

Should public school classrooms be separated by gender? There is a study that shows a learning improvement?
Q. They attend the same school yet have the classrooms seperated by gender. What are your thoughts?
Asked by Chi Guy - Thu Jun 19 12:17:00 2008 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The jury is out on the studies - there seems to be some benefit to girls - but it has not been proven to be beyond negligible when you adjust for socio-economic factors - lets face it ... the districts or schools (read private) who are set up to experiment with such are mostly not urban. You can find one research article that will say anything. its the preponderance of the research that is important here. see a quick eric digest search for an overview: Ill leave brown vs board of ed challenges (seperate is not equal.. certainly sounds like a tough one to win) and title 9 issues to others.

When a middle school is ID'd as a "school in need of improvement," can a student transfer to a better school?
Q. My child is academically very gifted and this year he has had the misfortune to enter,as all fifth graders here do, into the lowest ranking middle school of the state of New Hampshire.(BTW, I do not believe it is appropriate for fifth grade kids to be in "middle" school either!) Is there any legal way to have him attend a different public school outside of our residence?
Asked by Solo Joe - Thu Jan 4 08:33:26 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It depends on your school's policy and how far away the other school is. In NY state the parents have to apply to a school board to be accepted and then the school board where the student is already attending needs to release them. to have them go to another district, you may need to pay tuition and provide transportation. Maybe homeschooling is an option? Perhaps you need to get yourself on the school board and try to make a difference in the demographics of the school itself. Get parents together and DEMAND that something changes. For school boards to make changes, they have to usually be motivated by comments from the public. Good luck!

Need to report a ticket (took driving school) to insurance companies?
Q. I had a ticket involving an accident (I was found guilty) about two years back. I took the driver improvement school and was assured that the points would not appear on my record. Since then I have moved states and no longer in that state. Now when I file for insurance policies do I need to report this accident and the ticket or can I drop them both from being reported to the insurance companies (since I took the improvement school).
Asked by Madhukar - Tue Dec 11 17:40:06 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Well, read the application form for the insurance. Does it made you pledge that every information you provided is true? If so, and if they find out about your prior accident, they may cancel your policy or jack up your rates. Just reveal it and see what they'll decide to do. If you haven't had an accident since then, it's a sign that your driving skills have improved and that you took the classes to heart. No reasonable insurance will turn you down or punish you by giving you high rates.

High School GPA improvement?
Q. If someone has poor 1.0 gpa their underclassmen years and excellent 4.0 gpas their upperclassman high school years, with high SAT/ACT scores, and a few extracirriculars, community service, recommendation, abd good admission essay what is the chance of them getting into a state U? State Us look for c averages...so can the low gpa and high gpa balance out into a c average and all the extra achievements on the side, good essay/recommendation and high sat/act scores benefit me and let me get accepted?
Asked by suzella d - Wed Jun 10 21:19:23 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. No, they don't look for "C" averages, it's just the MINIMUM requirement, but most people that apply will most likely have at least 3.0's. Like for Ivy Leagues, they only require a 2.0, but in reality, the chances of them accepting someone with a 2.0 is 0%, no doubt. What is your cumulative GPA? Colleges loves to see kids improving, so you still might have a shot. Also, how high are your SAT/ACT scores? It depends on where you're aiming for, but at this rate, your SAT/ACT scores will either save you or break you. Don't look lightly on the admission essay either. Take any chance and explain why your grades were so low. Also, don't get this misconception that extracurricular activities are really important, because they are not. It… [cont.]

How do parents feel about the measures to make school dinners more healthy?
Q. I am of the view that any changes made to improve the health of our children (and therefore our future nation) are positive and should be embarked upon at any cost. I reacted with total shock when I read a news article today about 2 mothers at a british school who are taking orders over the school fence for burgers and fish and chips, and then delivering them to kids in school. Apparently this is a protest at the new healthier menu. I have given my 4 children packed lunches for years to try and encourage healthier eating, prior to the school dinner improvements. I hadn't ever considered that some parents would hold another view. I think they're bonkers, and infringing upon the rights of other parents to feed their children healthily.… [cont.]

A. What they did was wrong on many levels 1) Undermining their children's health 2)Undermining other people children's health 3)Undermining the school ( these same parents will blame schools for not doing enough if their children become delinquent _ 4)If as has been suggested they are taking money from other peoples children for food then they are operating as a food supplier ( profit or not makes no difference) then they are subject to health and safety and hygiene laws which clearly they are breaking and could and should be prosecuted and finally If they have time to go to the school take orders go to the takeaway and deliver it back they have time to make a decent packed lunch and give it to their own kids. A. 1st call the superintendent tell him of your plans and ask if there is some sort of a application or petition to run. You have to put your name on the ballot first. 2nd community involvement. Make sure you tell the parents of your plans and why. 3rd Teacher input, the teachers are the last line of defense. You can't assist them if you don't know what they need. 4th Campaign
