The history of the Middle East dates back to ancient times, and throughout its history the Middle East has been a major centre of world affairs. The Middle East is also the historical origin of three of the world’s major religions - Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The Middle East generally has an arid and hot climate, with several major rivers providing for irrigation to support agriculture in limited areas. Q. The conflict in the middle east has been going on for millenia. How can lasting peace be achieved? Asked by Dyno - Sat Aug 12 03:24:56 2006 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments A. The conflict in the middle east was quiet all during the Ottoman Empire, and started again when the UN gave Palestine territory to Israel in 1948. The best way to stop the current carnage is for the US to cancel the $43 billion in loans, military and financial aid to Israel, so that the major source of hostilities has to learn how to use diplomacy insteady of dropping bombs from an evergreen supply.
