Argentina, officially the Argentine Republic (Spanish: República Argentina, pronounced [reˈpuβlika arxenˈtina]), is the second largest country in South America, constituted as a federation of 23 provinces and an autonomous city, Buenos Aires. It is the eighth largest country in the world by land area and the largest among Spanish-speaking nations, though Mexico, Colombia and Spain are more populous. Its continental area is between the Andes mountain range in the west and the Atlantic Ocean in the east. Argentina borders Paraguay and Bolivia to the north, Brazil and Uruguay to the northeast, and Chile to the west and south. Argentina claims the British overseas territories of the Falkland Islands and South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. It also claims a part of Antarctica, overlapping claims made by Chile and the United Kingdom, though all claims were suspended by the Antarctic Treaty of 1961. Argentina has the second-highest Human Development Index and GDP per capita in purchasing power parity in Latin America. Argentina is one of the G-20 major economies, with the world's 30th largest nominal GDP, and the 23rd largest when purchasing power is taken into account. The country is classified as upper-middle income or a secondary emerging market by the World Bank. From Wikipedia under the

Which activity would be best for medical school? Do you that med school would like the fact that I went aboard to Argentina or not really since I did it during senior year at high school? Colleges have international study offices that offer exchange programs related to the field you are interested in so choose something in the medical field. Check out the Committee for Safety of Foreign Exchange Students for help. This will help you a lot. Hi, Food and entertainment is relatively cheap compared to many other places in the world, especially in compared to US and Europe. It obviously depends on what you would like to have organised and for whom. In the city of Buenos Aires (it is cheaper outside of Buenos Aires) you have to budget for at least USD50 per person if you would like a 4-star event with an acceptable quality wine including starters, main course and dessert but it can be as low as USD15 if you would like something more informal. I would need you to be a bit more specific about the entertainment you have in mind but if you are talking about getting a DJ for your party you would have to budget for around USD500. Of course cheaper options are available from about… [cont.] Answered by Hendrik J - Laurik International - Tue Mar 17 08:27:22 2009 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Argentina" Apache to sell 50 mmcf/d through Argentina program
