Take it to the body shop that did the work, or to a dealer, where they will evaluate the condition of the airbag and the airbag system. I had a body shop put a t-shirt in the airbag space and s-glue it shut. I found out by taking it to the dealer and they ran a diagnotic test which told them there was no airbag there. You want the system to work, and if you sell the car, even "as is", you will be liable for injuries if the air bag system does not work and you took the bulb out. Be smart, be safe. Q. I have a 2005 Nissan Sentra, and I have an aftermarket airbag on/off switch installed (legally, because I'm short!), so that the airbag will not deploy. The airbag light on my dashboard recently began blnking, I don't care, because I don't want my airbag to deploy. However - will my car pass inspection with the light blinking?? THanks.
