What are some good book titles or book publishers for sixth graders reading at a first grade level?
Q. I am teaching sixth graders who, sadly, are have\ing to read "Clifford" etc. to pass AR quizzing. I need books for them at a first or second grade readability level that are otherwise age-appropriate (i.e. in content and design.) I particularly need older-themed chapter books (not Magic treehouse!). THANKS! I'm desperate!!!

A. well this isn't your question but if you want to encourage them to like to read more you could read aloud to them but only half the book so they get intrested in finding out what happens.Or you can give them some first grade work and slowly work them up to thier grade level.i read this fun books when i was in fourth grade:the babysitters club. there are like 159 books about them! my sister told me about a book about a chicken who thinks the sky is falling so that might be a good book. ps i am only in the 7th grade i want to be a teacher when i grow up that or a writer

ARMY - How do I get the raw score for the basic AFQT subjects?
Q. I did the formula of 2(VE)+(AR)+(MK)= Raw score and i came out with 164. Do I divide that into the 4 subjects to find the answer? Attention: I did this by printing out the asvab practice tests and using it like a pamplet quiz.

A. You're not likely to get any real score equivalents from a practice test. It just gives you questions that will appear on the ASVAB that you can practice with and scores it as right or wrong. The AFQT is a percentile, based on how well you do compared to others. If you and 99 other people took it and your 164 outscored everyone, then you get a 99. If you fell in the middle when everyone's score was ranked, you'd get a 50. The military then uses the component scores to generate line scores to determine what kind of jobs you qualify for depending on your branch of choice. A. Sounds like you're in a bind. It doesn't seen fair that you have to take this test if you're new at the school. Accelerated Reader tests are fairly simplistic and bogus. Here's a site that will help you prepare: Read all of the background: Plot, character, analysis, and themes. Then take the online practice teast and see if you're ready. Good luck.

A. Sounds like you're in a bind. It doesn't seen fair that you have to take this test if you're new at the school. Accelerated Reader tests are fairly simplistic and bogus. Here's a site that will help you prepare: Read all of the background: Plot, character, analysis, and themes. Then take the online practice teast and see if you're ready. Good luck.

Does anyone have the answers to the angelas ashes A.R test?
Q. my teacher is making us read angela's ashes and lord of the flies at the same time. While lotf is a daily quiz on each chapter, angelas ashes final exam is just the AR test. she only gave us a week and a halfs notice on angelas ashes, and theres no way ican finish both at the same time. well ive made my excuses, i just hope someone will take pity on me.
