Does anyone find the Bloomberg Technical analyses of the markets to be wrong?
Q. This is just a rough estimate but I find that 30-50% of their technical analysis to be simply wrong. This is in how they apply the theory not that the after the fact outcomes Let me clarify. The outcume of applying Bloomberg's analysis may be right or wrong. I a not interested in the outcome. Is it applied incorrectly to data? Do they reach the wrong conclusions from that incorrect application. I am looking to hear from individuals who make observations on their own rather then those who are readily willing to quote someone else's view. Thanks Drtried, how do you feel about reaching a conclusion based on trends whose volatility is comparable to the size of the effect? That does not make it half reliable to me. But that is not the worst… [cont.]

A. TA is pretty much always wrong. If you show two traders the same chart, they'll often come up with different interpretations. plus, TA is susceptible to scale bias - you can make anything look small and insignificant, or large and dire just by messing with the scale.
