In library and information science, a book is called a monograph, to distinguish it from serial periodicals such as magazines, journals or newspapers. The body of all written works including books is literature. In novels, a book may be divided into several large sections, also called books (Book 1, Book 2, Book 3, etc). A lover of books is usually referred to as a bibliophile, a bibliophilist, or a philobiblist, or, more informally, a bookworm. A store where books are bought and sold is a bookstore or bookshop. IDK if there books like that, but I will look at any option so my question is, can anyone recommend me a book? Asked by iamjw101 - Mon Apr 6 15:09:01 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. I recomend going to your local book store, and talking to a female there. They usually have ' staff picks" that you can look at as well. Check out a website as well that offers book reviews. Here is one below :) Answered by Hisamazingwife - Mon Apr 6 15:41:50 2009 What is the book about a boy living underground with animals? Q. Years and years back, I read a book where a little boy runs away from his family and lives with animals in an underground burrow. I can't remember if it was raccoons or groundhogs or what, but it was about him learning to live with them and avoiding being found by humans because he doesn't want to go back home. Any ideas on the book title would be greatly appreciated. I really want to find this book again! Asked by featherflower19 - Mon Jun 23 00:53:49 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. "Incident at Hawk's Hill: by Allan W Eckert "A shy, lonely six-year-old wanders into the Canadian prairie and spends a summer under the protection of a badger" Answered by gormenghast10014 - Mon Jun 23 01:14:27 2008 I am looking for a specific book of illustrations?
Q. I can't recall the name, but the illustrations are quite surreal. One page is of a man holding up a chair, ready to hit a lump in his carpet. Another is of a house blasting off like a space shuttle. Another is of a woman getting ready to carve a glowing pumpkin. Apparently, this book is just a collection of illustrations with no real text other than the captions for the pictures because the author never returned to the publishing house to deliver the manuscript and they were just published as a picutre book. I would like to use this book for an assignment for my students, but can't remember the name of it. If anybody knows which book I am referring to please answer this question. Asked by Erin J - Thu Sep 20 13:36:09 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. It's "The Mysteries of Harris Burdick" by Chris Van Allsburg. Just FYI -- the story was a story. :) You can buy it at amazon.com: P.S.
