Q. The Governments of the World are supposed to protect the children. What makes you think that your children or your children's children won't be the next victim of child sex slavery? *Perilous Times Latin America's secret slave trade* Oliver Balch reports from the triple frontier of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina, where humans have become the most sought-after contraband. A. It is outrageous that parents, neighbors, etc., are selling children. Tourists should not be taking advantage of economically poor young women and children. People should not use the economic disadvantage of women and children against them in order to use them for sexual purposes. Obviously, rich people traveling have money that they could give away to help impoverished people without expecting anything in return. Poverty = prostitution How could Argentina recognize underage human trafficking in their criminal code? This is obviously wrong. The Governments should be protecting its citizens from tourists traveling for cheap sex opportunities and sex traffickers. Yes, the Governments of the World are supposed to protect the children.… [cont.]

Q. What countries have resolved those problems, or on their way to solving it. What were their solutions?
Asked by Jeh. - Thu Apr 9 19:12:26 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I don't know about many countries but one of them is deffinitelly India. All poor children work there and most of them never see the school (but there are schools). From Hinduism derived caste/class system prevents poor, law-class people (called villagers) to become rich, they don't even allow them enter the supermarkets and police is abusing homeless children on the streets. Everyone agrees that it's wrong and everyone's equal (it's sounds uneducated if you do otherwise) but practically most of the Indians can't change their views that poor classses/ untouchables/villages are just dirty, uneducated people who steal, beg and do crimes. I think that Mother Theresa and Gandhi actually tried to solve this but it still has a long way to go.… [cont.]

A. What investigation? You can't based something on illegally obtained hidden camera video. O'Keefe and Giles screwed up on this by going public. They should have turned the unedited video over to the proper officials like the FBI and let them do their job with an investigation.

A. You have not specified if you are talking about for child labour (carpet making, domestic servants etc) or for the sex trade. === Every country has a large sex trade but the level of the child sex industry varies. The Ivory Coast is a major "Slave Trade" country for adults and children for both the ordinary slave trade and the sex-slave trade with the slaves being sent to Eastern Africa and the Middle East. South America has a large child slave trade with children working as domestic servants and in other industries plus a lot are forced into the sex industry with girls as young as 8 working in brothels. Many are sent to the US. There are stories of girls as young as 9 forced to have sex with 35-40 men a day in open air brothels in… [cont.]

Asked by Emma-Lee - Tue Oct 20 03:55:27 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. An opinion, not an answer, but, FWIW... I don't see how a blog, no matter how well written, can stop criminal activity. Unless you can somehow get all the criminals to come to it and then feel really really ashamed at what they are doing. Which I don't think is going to happen. But if you increase awareness of the fact that child slavery and trafficking exist, then it could be good. Perhaps someone who didn't previously know these things happen might come across your blog, then realise that something they had seen wasn't quite right and report it. And that might be the end of a situation where a child was in danger. Good luck!

IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local officials to ensure immediate victim rescue and aftercare, to prosecute perpetrators and to promote functioning public justice systems.

A. My first thought is that your question has un-intentionally brought out some of the more spiteful of the usual responses. Even if some feel she has been very neglectful re the abduction of her child why does this prevent her from maybe trying to make amends by campaigning in this way. There are lots of examples of people who have been responsible for far worse going on to achieve great things in the field of Child Care and in raising awareness about all manner of issues. One of the more deranged postings has even likened her to Gary Glitter !! Stunning in its absolute stupidity & Cruelty.. I do not know what she will go on to achieve or not achieve in raising awareness/stopping child trafficking but i say good luck to her. Go for it.

Q. child trafficking causes, theoritical explantion and psychological consequences
Asked by Elfineh T - Tue Jan 9 06:15:36 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. There's nothing theoretical about child traffiking. Child traffiking cause irreversible damage to the child and the parents. More so the child. Childrean are taken and prostetuted, small children who have no idea what sex is. These kids are taken, sold, and sent off to places unknown. Most never make home, most die or are killed during the abuse to them. There is nothing theorectical about that That is concrete. So this is about children being taken and sold for sex and never to return home. Most are taken to other countries, isolated, and put to work at an early age. Working in the abusers home or business. This traffiking is all done over the internet trading kids and depositing money in to other accounts. It is sick.

I believe the data speaks for itself. Regarding Vietnamese adoption: "...and cases have frequently been tainted by corruption due to weaknesses in the Vietnamese adoption system.
