Have you ever tried Cognitive Behavior Therapy?
Q. Have you heard the news about 1/6 therapists helping gay people with their same-sex attraction in the UK? When I asked the therapist, she said she couldn't help me 'officially', but gave me some reading links and we did some mental exercises that reduced my obsessions and fantasies a lot. I am not saying I am ex-gay or anything, but therapy helped me. I don't think it's such a bad thing, if that's what people want. I guess that is an unpopular opinion. true neb. It isn't like they make out though. It's not like I had electrodes attatched to my testies. She made me visualise who I wanted to be, and told me to take away the temptations etc. It was just like an addiciton therapy. no they aren't paying me, and it doesn't cure you. I just… [cont.]

A. yes, it is a very unpopular opinion...beware or i'm gonna do some things to that bunny and make you watch :P just kidding, i love bunnies. You can't completely get rid of your feelings...and why go through all the torment for something as simple as your orientation. Believe me, i'm no different now then when i thought i was straight. It doesn't destroy you life...but those therapy bills and that self hatred might destroy yours. edit: electrodes on the testies? hot! But seriously, treating any sexuality as an "addiction" is literally against nature. We are built the way we are to have sex...whether or not she can "get rid of your temptations" how exactly is that going to make you attracted to the opposite sex? its all a bunch of… [cont.]
