A. I only enter my babbies in wrestling competitions, and I've made so many great friends already! I'd post a link to my most recent question, but Yahoo won't let me.

What moves would be great to use in a toughness contest?
Q. I'm trying to finish all the contests, and the last one I need to win is the Hyper and Master rank toughness contest. I'm using my Machamp for these contests. These are the moves that I have set for it so far: Revenge - Tough Vital Throw - Cool Karate Chop - Tough Seismic Toss - Tough I'm trying to find the move "Take Down", since it gives a lot of points. Can Machamp learn this move? Should I replace any of these moves?

I caught a contest sponsor in a bold face lie during a contest online. What should I do?
Q. I contacted the corp (Kelloggs owned, Morningstar Farms).. I have been extremely patient while they said they are "investigating" but nothing has happened. What next? Prize: $10,000 at stake. I'm starting to think they are pulling another internet contest scam.

A. Contact the Attorney General's office in your state and in the state where Morningstar is located. If nothing happens, I'd get in touch with John Stossel of 20/20 on ABC. I'm sure he'd get all over it. P.S. Not to get picky, but the term is "bald-faced lie".

How do I find a poetry contest or a way to publish poems?
Q. I have quite a few poems and I am interested in submitting them to a contest or publishing them in some kind of magazine or something. Maybe something for young poets? Anyone know of something like that or how to find something?
Asked by complex - Wed Feb 27 23:26:00 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The best place to publish poems is a poetry journal. Some of them even pay you, but if you get into a non-paying one it's still good exposure. Just do a search for "poetry journal" and there's heaps to choose from. You might want to add your country to the search as a lot of journals like local work and some only pay you if you live in the country that publishes them. Just go to a sight and look under submissions and it gives you all the details. Expect some rejections and be prepared to rework your poems - supposedly a work of art is never finished, only abandoned. Once you've had a few poems published you might get lucky enough to get offered a book deal. Here are some sites to start you off: Good luck! ps. stay away from… [cont.]

What's the difference between plead guilty and no contest?
Q. I just got my first speeding ticket few days ago, I took the third option which is take the defensive driving class to dismiss it.Hhowever, the clerk asked me do I plead guilty or no contest? I chose plead guilty since I did it... But i am just wondering, is there any difference between plead guilty and no contest? By the way, i drove 47 on 30 zone Orz mm...so it doesn't really mater which one i chose, does it? I mean if i chose no contest, will the consequence still be the same?
Asked by @.@" - Fri Oct 26 23:44:15 2007 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Generally, the two mean the same. In some places, a no contest plea cannot be used as evidence in a civil matter, as a guilt plea could. In your case, there is no difference no matter where you are: No one will sue you for going too fast. No contest, is often allowed simply to make it more palatable to the defentant, who as a matter of pride might not want to plead guilty.

How do I start and manage a contest on my Flickr group?
Q. I want to hold a contest on my Flickr group to choose an icon for the group. How should I go about doing this? I'd like everyone in the group be able to vote, if possible.
Asked by Tom N - Mon Dec 22 22:47:07 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. You'll probably just have to start a discussion with the title of it being the contest/vote, then go through and count the votes. Ask that people don't chatter and just vote, create a separate thread for discussions if you have too, and that you will delete chatter/non votes.

Q. I need to train for a pizza eating contest and would like some tips please.
Asked by knivesthe - Mon Jan 28 01:18:45 2008 - - 8 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Try to exercise regularly before the contest. Don't starve yourself before it, eat smaller meals leading up to the event. The best way to stretch your stomach is to eat lettuce. It is mostly water and takes more calories to digest than it carries, so all it really does is stretch the stomach. After eating, when you begin to feel slightly full, stand up and wiggle your hips from side to side for 5-10 seconds. This makes the food go down your esophagus faster and squashes it up in your stomach. Make sure you drink something to help wash down the pizza. Good luck =]

A. You don't really give us enough info. Is this a contest where people are sending in recipes to enter and then being asked to cook the dish on-site somewhere for live judging? Or just submitting recipes that the judges will have someone cook and taste without the entrants ever appearing in person? People just show up with the dishes and they are judged live? Bring enough to feed a crowd and the crowd votes on the winner?

What is the difference between no contest or guilty?
Q. I have a friend who was arrested last year for disturbing the peace and resisting arrest. He thought he was innocent so took it to court and ended up pleading no contest. He also lost his lic to carry a fire arm. I think its the same as guilty and he didnt have to spend the money on a lawyer to go to court and plead no contest. Does anyone know what the big difference is, will he be able to get his lic to carry back sooner because he pleaded no contest? Sorry we are in mass
Asked by lulubell - Thu Jan 22 12:18:36 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. You didn't say which state this is in, and the laws differ depending on where it is. In some places no contest can be equal to a guilty plea, and counts as a conviction where things like gun permits are concerned. Doubtful that he'll get his carry permit back if he plead that way. If he was truly innocent he should have pleaded not guilty (no contest means you just don't want to fight it). Then the burden would be on the state to prove the case against him. Generally you plead no contest to keep from having a guilty verdict show up during a civil trial. It doesn't admit guilt, but nor does it prove innocence.

What is Israel doing in the Eurovision Song Contest since they claim Palestine is their homeland?

A. Good question. Israel is on stolen land, that should be returned. However, Israel is the only jewish state left in the world, it won't be that easy to abolish it, and since it's the only one left..shouldn't we try to preserve Israel? I got a better idea...Israel is competing in the Eurovision Song Contest, and the only reason Israel was formed was to give a home to Jews after WW2...So maybe Israelis should go back to live in Europe. If Hitler never went on a kill Jews spree, Israel possibly wouldn't exist today, and Jews could be safe in Europe. Maybe they should go take over Vatican City, or go somewhere in Europe. I hear many European countries, and of course Middle Eastern countries, don't recognize Israel on their maps, but we do. So… [cont.]

A. Born and raised in Jersey, many ideas come to mind but since you are looking for something that relates to most people I would go with... Atlantic City! Its got a lot of directions to choose from. * Vegas style casino nightlife * Sunny sandy seaside beach * Amusement rides and arcades on the boardwalk Perhaps a combination of them. As well, from 1921 through 2005 Atlantic City was where the Miss America pageant has been held. This could be a funny theme.
