How do you convert radians per second into miles per hour?
Q. How do you convert radians per second into miles per hour? If you cannot explain...are there any sites that do? Thanks.

A. For example, in rotating anemometers conversions you would: 1. Measure the distance from the center of the rotating cup to the axis of rotation in inches and call it R. 2. Multiply R by 1/12 to get it into feet. 3. Find the number of revolutions the cup makes in a second (we would suggest you count the number of revolutions for 30 seconds and then divide the number of revolutions you get by 30--this will give you an average value). call that number w. It will have units of revolutions per second. 4. Multiply w by 2 pi (6.283053). This will convert the result to Radians per second since 2 pi radians = 1 revolution. 5. Multiply the result of step 2 with the result of step 4. The number you get will be the wind speed in feet per second 6.… [cont.]

How can I convert 115 degrees into radians?
Q. I want 115 degrees converted into radians with pie in the equation so the answer should look something like this ---> pi/x Basicly I don't want a answer in decimal form but in fraction while the pie would be on top and the number to divide be on bottome and this question will have a number next to pie.

A. Ok the relationship between degrees and radians is: 180 = radians so 1 = /180 radians and to convert from degrees to radians just multiply the number of degrees by /180 So for yours: 115 = 115 x ( /180 ) = 23 /36 rad

A. convert degree to radian is radian= degree * pi/180 radian= 71.72pi/180 = 1.25 radian if u want to make sure that is right, how about check 60 degree to see the radian radian= 60 pi/180 = pi/3 that is the same answer on your book i guess

How to convert from degree to radians?
Q. There is a math question about some train or something and the equation given is f(x)= 8sinx+2 Then you have to solve for what the value of x is when f(x)=6. So i got the answers 30 and 150. But I'm supposed to convert those two to radian measures. Anyone know how to do that?

A. Here's how to figure out how many degrees are in 1 radian. There are 360 in a complete circle, and 2 radians in 360 . So divide 360 by 2 : 1 rad 360 / 2 1 rad 57.2958 So to convert your degree measure to radians, just divide them by 57.2958 / rad. Then 30 equals: 30 / (57.2958 / rad) 0.5236 rad 150 150 / (57.2958 / rad) 2.6180 rad

A. Divide 180 degrees by the given decimal in DMS form would give you an approximation. So: 180 degrees/71.72 = use calculator.

How do I convert radians to degrees?
Q. How do I convert radians to degrees?
Asked by Shmittty W - Tue Dec 2 14:20:26 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. A full circle has 2 pi radians, or 360 degrees. Hence, 2 pi rad = 360 degrees so 1 rad = 360/2pi degrees - or if you prefer, 180/pi degrees. and 1 degree is 2pi/360 radians. If you just remember that 2 pi radians = 360 degrees, you can use basic algebra to give you the conversion rates. I never have memorized this stuff, I just figure it out on the spot whenever I need it.

Asked by Tori - Tue Dec 11 21:09:16 2007 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments

A. You just need to know that there are 2 Pi radians in a circle and 360 degrees in a circle. Your degree measure is between 0 and 360 degrees. If not subtract multiples of 360 degrees until it is. So to go from degrees to radians, using degree measure "D", Radian measure R= D divided by 360 times 2 Pi Going from radians to degrees, Radian measure R, D= R times 360 divided by 2 Pi

how do you convert irrational numbers into radians?
Q. I'm trying to study for a trig final, and these basic problems are getting in the way. I can't seem to figure out how to convert irrational numbers like the one's below into radians. Unfortunatly, that knowledge is required to write the trigonometric form of complex numbers. Examples, using the unit circle would be nice. how is arctan of sqrt(3) / -1 equal 2pi/3? or how is tan(pi/3) = sqrt(3)?
Asked by ... - Mon Apr 23 22:40:54 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. you should have memorized the trig functions for the basic angles-30,60, and 90 degrees (pi/6, pi/3,pi/2 in radians) It helps if you draw the unit circle. tan of pi/3 is sqrt(3), so tan of 2pi/3 is -sqrt(3) tan pi/3 is sqrt(3)

What does 10' mean in 142 10' and how do you convert it to radians?
Q. is 142 10' the same as 142 ? i don't think so, but what does that 10' mean??
Asked by paulinatran10 - Sat Sep 8 18:49:16 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It means 10 minutes. In addition to the unit of time, there is a unit of angle measure that is also called a minute. 1 minute is equal to 1/60 of a degree. There is also a unit of angle measure called a second, denoted using a double prime, and it (predictably) is equal to 1/60 of a minute. Precise angle measurements are sometimes given in degree-minute-second format, for instance 16 12'32" would be 16 degrees, 12 minutes, and 32 seconds, which amounts to 16 + (12/60) + (32/3600) 16.208889 . The angle you have is 142 degrees and 10 minutes, or (142 1/6) . Generally, to convert to radians, you would have: d m's" = (d+m/60+s/3600) = (d+m/60+s/3600)/180 radians.
