I don't want to discourage you because getting any college degree is an important step. The reality is that most employers at a corporate level view an associates two year degree like advanced high school. It has very little value in a corporate setting. If you want to work in a beauty shop or a computer store then an AA degree in cosmtetology or in PC repair is probably fine. For most people an AA is a stepping stone to getting a 4 year degree. So the good news is go ahead and pursue it but take those credits and jump into a 4 year program as soon as you can. Q. I'm a senior in high school planning on going to college and majoring in music education. What degrees do I need to get? Asked by twhsbandgeek - Wed Nov 12 19:34:16 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. For a small high school, maybe 3A or lower, you could get away with just a bachelors in Music Education. If you would like to go on you could get a Masters in the same thing or in theory, composition, or anything else musically related. Talk to you HS, or colledge counselor they may know more.
