Q. How is dipotassium phosphate made and is there a difference in price between liquid and powder forms?

A. Dipotassium phosphate (sometimes abbreviated DKP) has the chemical formula K2 H PO4, and is made by reacting appropriate amounts of potassium hydroxide (KOH) or potassium oxide (K2O) with phosphoric acid (H3PO4). Pure DKP is a slightly hygroscopic (meaning it tends to attract water from the atmosphere) white powder. It is commonly used as a fertilizer. Any liquid form you find for sale will simply be a solution of the pure powder in water or other solvent. DKP is readily soluble in water to the level of about 1.5 grams DKP per gram of water. The liquid form will almost certainly be more expensive in terms of the amount of actual DKP you get per dollar, as well as in terms of shipping costs. (You probably don't want to pay to ship the… [cont.]

A. Di Potassium Phosphate: With the help of our cutting edge technology in our laboratory we are able to synthesize premium quality of dipotassium phosphate. It is also known as phosphoric acid, dipotassium salt; dipotassium hydrogen orthophosphate; potassium phosphate and dibasic. It is a highly water-soluble salt and for this feature it is used as a fertilizer, food additive and buffering agent. This is also used in chemical industry as a source of phosphorus and potassium. Ammonium chloride: or Sal Ammoniac is, in its pure form, a clear white water-soluble crystalline salt Salt. In nature, the substance occurs in volcanic Volcanos It is easy to produce artificially and is often created as a byproduct of other industries. To narrow it… [cont.]

can catfacing be reversed? I think I was overzealous in my nitrogen application.?
Q. I make my own fertilizer using prilled urea, dipotassium phosphate, and a trace of manesium and iron.
Asked by Alan - Wed Jul 8 08:17:45 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I don't think the condition can be removed from the existing fruit. However unless all the fruit has set for the year, you can try to minimize the damage on the current blossoms. One issue is that there doesn't appear to be a consensus on the exact cause of catfacing. So temperature control and fertilizer may not be totally effective.

Q. I'm having problems with my mother in law and I need some advice, this question is long so bare with me please. I've been craving chocolate so I bought a can of Nestle Carnation Milk Chocolate Hot Chocolate as treat. I figured it would be better to have one mug of that when I feel a chocolate craving then to sit there and chow down on candy bars.( I only have one glass a day if any) But now my mother in law is sending me facebook messages about how all the stuff in the hot chocolate mix is poison. This is what she sent me: Hot Chocolate Mix Dipotassium phosphate NOT approved for pesticidal use on food or feed crops. A. Ok, I'm certainly not a pediatrician or an expert...but here's my 2 cents. I craved hot chocolate during my first pregnancy. I would a couple during the month on my drive to work. My baby is now 7. She is very bright and has no medical conditions what so ever. If you are freaked out though, just make old-fashioned hot chocolate w/ real chocolate...wow, hot chocolate sure sounds good...lol. As for the H1N1 vaccine, I am a little "leary" of it, because of it being so new. I myself am not going to get it. As for the mother-in-law, don't tell her anything else you eat...she seems to have a lot of time on her hands, and there are all sorts of horror stories about what's in food! Good luck with your pregnancy.

A. There's several potential problems with this stuff besides the glycerin. First off the list of optional colorants include several that either are animal sourced or could be animal sourced, there's also a stearate listed that can be animal based. A relatively new problem could be all those essential oil extracts they list. Some companies have started using animal based enzymes to increase production of their essences.

A. If you're taking Synthroid (or some sort of thyroid medication) it cannot be taken at the same time as anything with calcium. Make sure when you take your vitamins that you take them several hours before or after you take your Synthroid. Otherwise, I don't see anything listed in your vitamin that would make you sleepy. Perhaps you have an intolerance with one of the ingredients. Speak with your doctor.
