How did the opening scene of Eagle Eye relate to the rest of the movie?
Q. How did the opening scene of eagle eye relate to the rest of the movie? You know with the casket. How does it connect to the rest of the movie and why is it important?

A. Yes, the fictional defense mechanism ARIA recommended that they not fire at the men at the funeral. But the secretary ignored the warning and lied to the President, making the President make a bad decision: to fire at the men at the funeral. Since that was wrong of the President to do, ARIA saw the Government, her own people, as fakes, and as threats to others. So she chose Jerry and the another woman to play a game with the government. Pretty much ARIA did the wrong thing too, she went crazy. So that is what made her or IT the villain. Later in the film we see ARIA has a plan to attack all of the presidents. That makes her a threat. She also made Jerry and that other woman go through some pretty dangerous missions, all which they did… [cont.]

What is the symbolism of the eagle facing the left ?
Q. The eagle faces the left through history, from aincient roman standards to Nazi Germany, to the United States. Why does it always face the left or have a profile view from the left?
Asked by Bones - Mon Sep 11 17:19:07 2006 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Although from our vantage, they are facing left, they are facing their own rights. It must just be tradition. There were several countries who used 2-headed eagles (Franks, Sumerians) to look vigilantly in both directions. Perhaps left facing looks towards the setting sun or in the case of the US, towards the uncolonized Western Indian lands which the settlers were then coveting. The Roman standard linked below is facing the other direction. In the military it is always "eyes right", as troops past their reviewer from left to right, from the reviewer's vantage.

How long does it usually take for American Eagle to reply after submitting an application?
Q. I just recently gave an application to American Eagle to be a stores associates for the seasonal job and I was wondering how long it usually takes for the manager to call you for an interview.
Asked by ldfontelera - Sun Nov 18 20:33:13 2007 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Some places call back and some don't. The ones that don't want to see if a person is truly interested in the job and lets them call back after a few days. For a seasonal job, personally, I'd call back after 3 or so days. I've found that it gets them to look at your application and possibly schedule an interview faster than if you wait a week and still don't get a call and then have to call and find out they've filled the spots.

What does it mean when you have a Bald Eagle following you?

While at the beach the other day I had one circling over head. Before this year Bald Eagles where rare around this area in Iowa. However, from a spiritual perspective the bald eagle has always represented great power among the indigenous peoples of North America. What is the name of the transformer that transforms into an eagle?

A. If its alternate mode is an animal, then the figure must be from the Transformers Beast Wars line or one of its iterations, or it could be a knock-off or some other figure from another toy line entirely. Can you find a Takara or Hasbro label on the toy anywhere? Does it look anything like the figure below? It could be a recolored version of this or another Beast Wars figure. Here are a couple of other bird figures from Beast Wars, etc.

How do the prices of guys clothing at Hollister and American Eagle compare?
Q. Are they about the same price range? I like polo shirts and some of the screen tees (not the applique fabric ones) at American Eagle. I want to start shopping at Hollister and want to know how the prices of these items compare.
Asked by jonfry693 - Wed Aug 20 19:50:02 2008 - - 7 Answers - 1 Comments
A. Hollister is a little more expensive but quite close to the same price. For example a hoodie at American Eagle is 50-60$ (Canadian anyway), and at Hollister it will be about 60-70$. The polos at AE are about 25-30$ and at Hollister they are close to the same but could be 5$ more depending on the specific style. Expensive but yeah, they do have cool stuff. Abercrombie and Fitch is what REALLY tops the list price-wise... about 80-90$ for a regular hoodie and 40$ for shirts. If you can, at any of these stores, get to a sale!

A. Eagle Scout will only get you E-2 if you are joining the Army and I can't speak for the other branches. Straight from AR 601-210, Chapter 2-18a(12): (12) Has been awarded the Boy Scout Eagle certificate as a member of the Boy Scouts of America (Form 58 708) or the Sea Scout Quartermaster Award Certificate or the Venturing Scout Silver Award may enlist at any time at pay grade PV2, a combination of these two awards to enlist at the pay grade of E3 is not authorized. There might not be much of a difference in your duties when you join but joining as an E-2 will have you making almost $300 a month more than your buddies who enlisted as E-1s for their first four months and almost $200 more than them after they get their four month pay… [cont.]

A. Bald eagles in captivity can live upward of about 50 years, in the wild, 20 to 30 years. There isn't a real equation...I suppose just multiply by 2, add one half of your current age if you want to calculate one from the wild? i.e. If you're 24: 24 x 2 =48, +12 =60. I really don't know, there isn't a foolproof way. Cheers, Phoenix

Q. Can you buy a suppressor for a desert eagle and do they make subsonic rounds for it? I was just wondering.
Asked by Leopoldo M - Mon Nov 10 02:15:33 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Short answer, yes and yes. Long answer if you live in the USA. There is subsonic 44 magnum ammo available, but it is over $1 per round and the stuff from EBR is only available in 265 grain which is not very powerful. I hand load some using 310 grain bullets which gives it an edge (688 ft-lbs vs 588 ft-lbs) when you are restricting yourself to 1000 fps and is much cheaper. 44 Special ammo might be subsonic in the DE, but it may not function well due to its shorter length and lower pressure. Supersonic ammo can still be effectively suppressed in the DE, but it will be louder due to the higher power charge and the sonic boom. The sonic boom is much less noisy than the muzzle blast. You will need an extended barrel and get it… [cont.]

When do you truly become an Eagle Scout?
Q. Hello all. This is a heated discussion among my peers. I completed my board of review for Eagle Scout, which is the last requirement, on June 24th, 2009. My peers say I am not an Eagle Scout until my court of honor. I believe it is after your BOR because you have met all the requirements. What do you believe? Thank you very much. I hate it when they are like your not an Eagle Scout yet because you haven't had your ceremony. I did all the reqs. and everything. Some of them aren't even Eagles themselves.

A. You are an Eagle if you completed your board of review. I just checked the book. Congratulations! You've done what very few can do!!Tell your friends to stop hating, it's not very scout-y of them.
