What products have elements from the perodic table?
Q. What products have elements from the perodic table like sodium, copper, silver, potassium, nickel, iron, chlorine, etc... I need products that can be found at home. I have a project which requires 20 products from 20 different elements. It could be pure samples of that element, compound or mixture. I the project I need prove so I need the labels of the product.

A. Everything on Earth is made up of the elements in the periodic table. Take anything in your house and look at the label. The ingredients will mostly be compounds but you can look the compounds up on wikipedia and it will tell you what elements are in them.

What elements should be included in a good resume?
Q. As it says - I am making up my resume, and would like to know, what elements should I include? So far I have education, relevant experience, strengths, experience, volunteering, awards and memberships, references.
Asked by Peregrine - Fri May 23 14:41:22 2008 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Well, the objective line is optional. If you use it, make it 1 or 2 sentences. Inside education you can list some of the courses you took related to the job you're applying. The same goes for experience, only list the experience relavant to the type of work you're looking for. Always describes a little bit of what you've done in a job, school, volunteering. And of course, make your resume short: 1 or 2 pages at most. Good luck with your job search. Don't forget to prepare yourself for tricky interview questions. Very important.

How do you replace the elements on an electric water heater?
Q. My water heater keeps having to be reset. The water heater is under 8 years old so I'm assuming it just needs new elements. Can someone give me the steps into going about replacing the elements? Thanks!
Asked by Lynn S - Mon Mar 3 14:01:37 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Usually when the water heater reset trips it is a thermostat that is malfunctioning and not an element. It should be checked to find the problem first before changing parts that are not malfunctioning. If you have a simple multi-meter it is easy to check the elements.Set multi-meter to the continuity setting[ohm's] turn electricity off to the water heater and remove the wires from the elements place multi-meter leads on the two terminals and there should be continuity, now check each terminal to the tank there should not be continuity. If either of these reading are not correct then it is an element that is faulty. If they are correct then it is a thermostat that is faulty.Thermostats are relatively inexpensive so I usually just change both.Thes [cont.]

What additional elements are need to convert a carbohydrate into a protein?
Q. Please after you answer this question above can you answer this; Where do you think plants get these elements from? Thanks.
Asked by sk95 - Fri Oct 9 12:43:37 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Carbohydrates only have carbon, oxygen and hydrogen. Proteins additionally have nitrogen and sulfur (as well as in some cases phosphorus and cesium). Plants probably get the nitrogen from nitrogen-fixing bacteria in the soil (unless they're nitrogen-fixing themselves, in which case, they'd be able to convert nitrogen in the air to ammonia). Sulfur and phosphorous are usually in the soil.

A. life_loverfl has the best of the above 3 answers, however, you will need a wrench to remove the elements...you can get it where you get the elements also. Depending on the size of the water heater & the amount of build up in the bottom of the tank, it could take a while for it to drain...I had one that took over an hour to drain. Good luck...

What's the probablility of new elements being found in space?
Q. Do we think that we've discovered most of the elements that exist, either on the planet or in the universe? Since the earth is itself made up of space stuff, and space stuff is constantly arriving (via meteors, comets, asteroids, whatever), are all of the elements already here, or do we expect to continue discovering new elements? What if we were able to explore other planets in other solar systems? Would totally new and unknown elements likely be found, or would we find that they are all just different combinations of elements that we already know here on earth?
Asked by Salinger - Wed Apr 2 23:15:15 2008 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Approximately zero. There are no gaps in the periodic table, and we have no reason to suspect the existence of stable elements of atomic number higher than what we've already created on Earth.

The objects have to be in tension with one another, while not looking arranged or contrived. This is a lot harder than it sounds. Color and texture. Should be a variety of both.

Photoshop elements 4 - How do I blend one layer say a photo onto a crumpled piece of paper on a 2nd layer?
Q. I wish to create a crumpled photo effect using Elements 4. The photo would have to be blended such that it follows the contours of the crumpled paper. Is this possible with Elements 4 and if so how do you do it?
Asked by Roger - Wed Sep 26 12:06:32 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Try setting the layer above the paper to 'multiply' (top left corner of the layer palette - default value is set to 'normal'). This way dark areas of the crumpled paper will show through and the image will look like it's on the paper. If you experiment with the different layer blends, you can create different effects. Multiply adds together the colour values of the two layers. Adjusting the levels of the two layers will vary what shows through. Reducing the mid-tones of the paper (increase the contrast) may help make the image appear a bit clearer.
