A. The website OR many people give them away on Craigslist. Just type in keyword Enfamil and people may send them to you for free.

What is the difference between the regular Enfamil lipil formula and Enfamil Next Step?
Q. My baby just turn 9 months and he normally drinks Enfamil Lipil. My friend recently gave me a box of formula filled with Enfamil Lipil concentrated. I just noticed im down to my last two cans and they are Enfamil Next Step ready to go. What exactly is the difference between the two? Should i just go to the store and continue him on the normal Enfamil?

A. next step is for older babies...I believe 9 months is the soonest they can have it, maybe 12...it should say on the can.

Does your newborn drink Enfamil formula?
Q. Does your newborn drink Enfamil formula, and do you receive Good Start formula coupons? If so, would you be interested in trading coupons? I use Good Start, and have a whole stack of $5-off Enfamil checks that's I'd like to trade. Let me know and we can exchange mailing addresses via email. Oh, and it's the Nestle Good Start... thanks! Details to responses: I already get coupons from Good Start, which is the formula I use BUT I'm getting then from Enfamil, too... so my question is, does anyone want to trade coupons if you get both Enfamil and Good Start coupons--if you use Enfamil, I will give you the Enfamil coupons in trade for Good Start coupons. I hope this is a bit clearer now... !

Enfamil Baby Formula does not dissolve well?
Q. I have been using enfamil lipil baby formula from Costco for 9 months now and it was just fine. But from last one month, the formula does not dissolve well and forms lumps and particles block the nipple. Anybody facing the same problem? Any solution? tried hot water, warm water, still the problem persists. I have been adding the same amount of formula to the water (according to the instructions on the box) from 9 months and didnt have this problem before. is there a formula mixer that i can use at home as well as on the go?

A. My child used Enfamil and we had a formula blender that really helped to mix it up. You can buy one at Babies r us for about $5. It's just a battery powered whisk basically. I don't know if you shake, but the only times I tried to shake it, it just tossed clumps into the nipple and clogged it up. I also blended after each scoop it just seemed to work better that way.

A. Yes. Just cheaper. We started on Enfamil and I bought it until my son was 3 weeks old, and I was shopping for more. I saw the parents choice and the price...I compared the 2...they seemed to have the same ingredients. Brought it home, and found it mixes better, there didn't seem to be as many air bubbles. My son liked it much better and was on it until 12 months.

Q. Have you used this formula? Did baby like it? If not, what didn't you like? I am feeding my baby with this formula and I just want to get other people's reviews. what about similac? is that one okay? i feel like i need to change my baby'S formula because of melamine.. im shocked

A. I just switched from Enfamil Lipil to Earth's Best organic because Enfamil Lipil was found to have cyanuric acid in it. Cyanuric acid is related to Melamine (toxic plastic that can cause kidney failure). My son was OK with the taste of Enfamil Lipil, but loves the Earth's Best. It seems to taste better to him. Melamine can cause kidney failure. Infants in China have died from it as it was in their formula. See below articles.

I have a 5 month old baby girl and she is not drinking her Enfamil formula like before. Please advise.?
Q. She used to drink 8 oz of formula every 5 hours for a total of about 32 oz in a 24 hour period. But in the last week, she now only drinks 8 oz of formula in a 24 hour period. Every time we give her the milk bottle, she starts to cry and she pushes the bottle away. I have tried changing the formula brand from Enfamil to Similac and also Goodstart but it doesn't help. Yes, she is teething but she will suck on her pacifier nipple, so that means her teeth can't be hurting that much. When I give her water, she will definitely drink it. But when I give her formula, she will start to taste the bottle really quick. Then she will push the bottle away and start crying. What is going on here? If you have any experience with this please help. By the… [cont.]

A. I think you should contact your doctor ASAP. A child needs more than 8 oz of formula per day at that age. She could be dehydrated and not getting enough nourishment. Doctor's vary on when you should start your child on rice cereal. My 4 month old is starting to lose her sucking reflex and is not wanting her Enfamil as much either. She is pushing it out with her tongue and not eating as much. We started rice cereal this week. Buy it in the baby section at Wal-Mart or the grocery store. Mix a little with the baby's Enfamil and then feed her with a soft baby spoon. I would contact my doctor today. In the meantime, you might want to try some rice cereal to give your baby some variety. Also, our daughter had diahrrea and was sick a while back. [cont.]

Enfamil Lipil powder formula vs the ready to use liquid.?
Q. Is there a difference in the Enfamil Lipil powder formula and the ready to use 6oz liquid bottles? My son seems to eat less of the powdered formula and eats more of the liquid ready to use form (the one you do not add water too). I know I'm mixing the powdered formula right, so I don't know what it is. The taste, or something different in them? I can't see the difference besides the obvious formula vs. ready.
Asked by LoveNAR - Sat Mar 1 20:26:42 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The only difference I know of is that the ready to use ones have preservatives that prolong the shelf life, which makes my daughter sick, and that the ready to use is thicker. Other then that I don't know. I use Similac though. I looked it up and heres what I found: "The biggest differences between powder, ready-to-use liquid, and concentrated liquids are their cost and the way they're prepared. Some parents don't mind paying a little extra for the convenience of prefilled Enfamil Nursette bottles. Other parents prefer to buy the more economical powdered formula and mix it themselves."

Does anyone have any Enfamil Lipil formula or checks, coupons, boy clothing, bottles, or items you don't need?
Q. Does anyone out there have any baby coupons, Enfamil formula checks, Enfamil Lipil formula, diapers, baby boy clothing, or other baby boy items that they do not need? I had an ovarian tumor and have had lots of medical problems within the last year which has caused severe financial difficulties. We do not qualify for WIC. Money is extremely tight right now, I am giving birth to a baby boy in 9 weeks, and we can use all the help we can get. Please let me know at mrssoldier33@yahoo.com. Thank you with all of my heart. <3 P.S. I have joined freecycle.org but haven't received any responses yet. I have also checked craigslist.com and there are no baby items for free or barter in my area. Thank you though for the suggestion.

A. We have nine $7.00 checks from Enfamil with a expiration date of 11/30/07 that you are welcome to. Our baby is on Similac for fussiness and gas, its seems to work better for him. Also the hospital will give you a thirty day supply of diapers and extra formula upon your discharge. Just make sure you request it before you leave.

Am feeding Enfamil Gentlease Lipil formula and my baby's skin is way greasy?
Q. Does anyone else have this problem? She seems to have really oily skin especially at night. She was previously on Similac Advanced till my food subsidary program went with the Enfamil. She likes eating it but I have noticed a filmy residue on the bottle after she drinks. Its greasy and nasty and now her skin gets oily and shes gotten some blemishes on her nose. Is this from the formula or is it something else? will of course talk to the Ped but just wanted to here some testimonials on this formula
Asked by morganzabonanza - Thu Aug 30 00:42:42 2007 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. That's a good question to ask the ped. If you see a film on the bottle, it's possible what you are seeing on baby is something from the formula. I've never heard of a greasy baby, but that doesn't sound good. About the blemishes, if it's baby acne, just leave it alone, it will go away on its own.

Does Similac make a similar formula to Enfamil Gentlease?
Q. My 7 week old daughter has been on the Enfamil Gentlease formula & doing fine. She spits up though. Previously, we tried Enfamil Lipil & Enfamil AR but those didn't agree with her. With those two formulas, there would be days where she'd be fine, then there were days where she'd throw up everything she ate. I don't believe she's lactose intolerant because like I said, there were time where she was fine. I would think that there would be immediate & constant signs of outbreak or other problems. However, I was told Enfamil Gentlease would be good on her stomach...& it has been. WIC just switched to Similac so now I'm confused as to which formula would be suitable for my baby. They offer Similac Advance (which is what I was issued) &… [cont.]

A. Similac Sensitive is kind of like Gentlease.. I'm surprised your WIC office gives Sensitive.. i know alot of babies who couldn't get the right formula through WIC.. What i do know, is that WIC will give you Enfamil Nutramigen, if your baby does better with Enfamil products than Similac ( i know mine did!!! ) It's a hypoallegenic formula, so instead of giving out Gentlease they skip a step and just give you Nutramigen.. no milk or soy protein, so no way your baby can be fussy.. So you could try that one for a few months, and switch to a milk-based such as regular similac.. ( Since they won't give regular Enfamil Lipil ) So try the Sensitive kind first from similac.. if your baby doesn't agree with it.. defenately ask for Nutramigen..

Does anyone have enfamil or good start formula checks that they would like to trade for huggies coupons?
Q. I have tons of Huggies coupons for diapers, wipes, bath and body, and for any huggies product. I am willing to trade these for formula coupons/checks/vouchers. Thank you.

A. Actually I have 2 / $7.00 checks and 3 /$5.00 checks off any Enfamil formula. Its a shame becuase I just had to switch my baby from the enfamil to similac so I have all these coupons I can't use. I would gladly trade them for huggies coupons. They don't expire until Dec. 31 (one expires Nov. 30). I also have 2 unopened cans of enfamil lipil powder I can't use either.

A. They don't sell it to the public anymore. The only way you can get any formula without iron is through a pharmacy with a scrip from your doctor. They don't want kids to have low iron formula unless there has been a test done by the doctor and then you have to get it ordered through a pharmacy. Hope this helps and a friend went through this and it was a big pain the the butt. Good luck
