How to explain gaps in your work history?
Q. Usually, I say nothing just agree with them. The gaps are due to a life threatening and severe and rare illness that nobody knows anything about. If I say this, I will definitely not get the job. Also, how do you explain low self esteem caused by life stresses and the fact you are just starting out again and have to relearn everything. I know I could have the skills, but not so much as a normal person. How do you explain all this to an employer and still land the job?

If you HAVE to be honest, then u kinda NEED some emoployer who's prone to being understanding (there are programs..) How do I explain bad grades on transcripts during an interview?
Q. I've taken honors and advanced classes in English. I'm a journalism/graphic design major and that's what really counts. How do I explain the poor grades in math, economics and/or history when I get an interview? What can I put in my cover letter so I'm not immediately dismissed? I just have always had a difficult time with numbers and history. I'm a good student otherwise. The jobs I'm applying to are with schools in the marketing/communications or design field.

How would I explain to an older adult why maintaining muscle mass is important?
Q. I am not sure how to explain why muscle mass is important to my grandparents. I want them to do strength training in order to keep their muscle but how can I explain it to them in simpler terms? Please help!

A. If your grandparents are concerned about it just tell them that using their muscles helps keep their bones strong which helps them not break something...strong muscles help them keep their balance better. Good muscle mass makes a difference in how the lungs and heart work. Good muscle mass reduces likelihood of using a cane, walker or wheelchair. Good muscle mass means they won't be as dependent on others when they grow older and older. It will allow them to maintain their independence from others having to help them shower, shop, or clean house. Good muscle mass will mean they will have the strength they need to take care of any pets they might have, pick up and hug their grandchildren, great grandchildren, etc. Good muscle mass helps… [cont.]

A. The primary difference is the basis of the ethical dilemma. Explain the difference between accumulated depreciation and depreciation expense. What is the purpose of each.?
Q. Along the same lines, the cost principle requires an asset to be initially recorded at cost. Depreciation causes the asset's book value to decrease over the life of the asset. Explain the difference between accumulated depreciation and depreciation expense. What is the purpose of each account?
Asked by Daddy's Girl - Sun May 31 22:54:30 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Accumulated depreciation is the depreciation expense so far for a given asset. This goes on the balance sheet as a contra account (negative) which reduces the net value of the asset. In theory the asset get less valuable as time passes. The expense is the amount taken this accounting period. This is on the Income statement.

Q. Explain some of the security threats to information systems particularly in a banking system? How does encryption ensure data security?

A. Information Security is a pretty big topic. In any system the threat to information is greater from within. The amount anyone goes to protect information is based on their budget because there is almost no end. So you measure what your information is worth to others and protect it within your budget. Encryption employs mathematical algorithms to scramble the information. A system may use private keys and public keys...a good example is a preshared key. Your home wireless network is a good example, people will employ WEP encryption so their neighbor cannot get into their system. In the router you enter a plain language word to be scrambled into a key, if you put in "golf" you get 2G5KCR83JCRU, this has to be entered into the wireless… [cont.]

A. Well, if you are basing a conclusing on the answers that people are giving you to questions you created, then your results could be skewed by the answers, or worse, they won't tell you what you need them to. And within the hypothesis, without good questions, the outsider won't know what you are addressing or covering. Hope this helps!

Sorry that your question got lost in the back log of open questions before you had a wider range of responses, I can sense this is an important issue to you that you wish more people would take seriously. Graphics work. I am a visually oriented person, (like most males, though I am not) and seeing something "on paper" is easier for me to relate to than auditory facts. Maybe topical maps from the last century or so, that showed the areas of green, before development? Do a ratio of people to greenery? Prove there's more people and less oxygen or something? Then put those findings into a interesting written format and publish either on the web, or submit as an article to a nationally read peridoical? Maybe even turn the data into a children's [cont.]

A. A Nursery for kids or plants/trees? Assuming kids, I would say that for so many kids there needs to be 1-2 teachers. Taking care of kids is a lot of work and can sometimes be quite challenging. If everyone works together, the days will go smoother. Teachers will have someone to keep them calm and they can switch classes so that every teacher gets an equal break. Sharing responsibilities will also assure the teachers are getting more education themselves in many different areas.

Explain what is done to obtain clear pictures of far and near objects using a camera?
Q. Draw a diagram showing how a camera lens forms an image of a distant object on the film. Explain what is done to obtain clear pictures of far and near objects using a camera.
Asked by unknown - Wed Jul 22 22:41:10 2009 - - 3 Answers - 1 Comments
A. The easiest way is to use a telephoto lens. This means that all objects are really at "distance" so they are equally in focus. Another way is to have a really small aperture reading "pinhole effect" This eliminates the out of focus peripheral rays and only lets the central clear rays through for far and near. This requires good lighting and or fast ASA setting.

A. inflammation causes the cells of the body to swell up so much that they pin the bacteria between the cells in the interstitial space. because they can't move around to get nutrients, they eventually die. Then they are swept off by the bloodstream to the kidneys, where they are filtered out of the system.

How can I explain my husband about my anxiety disorders?
Q. I have been suffering from anxiety disorders for years. I recently started working with a mental health professional. Therapy seem to work well. But my husband, constantly keeps judging and hurting me. I am not able to explain him my situation. We both are very well educated to understand things. I work very hard both at home and at work to provide for the family. How can I explain him, my struggle or suffering, when he is just not willing to listen and keeps saying, I complain all these problems to avoid doing work or I simply like to be unhappy. Its just miserable. Any suggestions?

My long days of anxiety attacks affecting my life are over. To learn how I overcame my anxiety attacks go to I would highly recommend you get the book by Dr. Claire Weekes called Hope and Help For Your Nerves. That excellent book will tremendously help you and… [cont.]
