How many activities should I try to participate in? Also, do they like to see things such as participating in walks for different causes (Walk for Breast Cancer, Diabetes, MS, etc)? I want to major in history. Any suggestions? Well, buttfor2007, I'm not too fond of this country myself.

A. Those are all good, but pretty typical. If you want to stand out, find something different - what do you want to major in? English? Publish a novel. Science? Do original research. Government? Run for an elected office. Find someway to show them you're committed to your future field of study.
