Can a female dog mate with her father or brother and produce healthy pups?
Q. I am a bit concerned as my friend has a male and female dog who are brother and sister. (Their mother is border collie-their father is staff/snauchzer) They mated and had 1 male and 2 females. They are healthy, but now one of the female pups is pregnant by the father or the brother. Will these pups survive and be healthy? What will their temperaments be like? They all have sweet temperaments so far and respond with good intelligence.

A. It's done all the time in dog breeding. It's called either line-breeding or in-breeding depending on the circumstances. It can cause an exaggeration of genetic issues if one exists, but that is rare. It is a very common practice. That is how breeds were developed. The puppies will be fine.

A. I dont see how you didnt notice ur female was in heat, you would notice blood. Unless she is an outdoor dog; but if that is the case why on earth do you even have a dog? Anyway here is ur answer: If she is still bleeding and is yelping, its because she is not ready to mate and the male keeps trying. If she is still bleeding, most likely she is not pregnant. And if they didn't tie then most likely she is not pregnant. Now if she is not bleeding then he probably hurt her or she is just not wanting it is all.

Police were called by female,neighbor claimed female hit him 1st *untrue*,police said they were unable to do anything b/c they didnt witness the assault. Ivs of dilaudid,saline and nausea were administered. Hospital strongly urged going to police station to file warrant-that was done - what are the guidelines of what is to do next and what can be expected? A. I would assume that the police wrote a report. I would definitely file a complaint civil and criminal. Get a lawyer if you feel strongly about punishing this neighbor. Remember, however, you WILL have to live next to him unless you can afford to move. Keep it in mind for whatever you plan to do. I'm NOT saying it to discourage you from filing, but you need to keep an open mind that the court system will only do so much and IF he got jail time, it probably wouldn't be long. HOWEVER, that should not be a reason to let him get away with assaulting you!! Again, talking to a lawyer may be your best bet. Good luck.

A. No, they don't actually sync up, but cats who are unspayed can go into heat every other week and the heat can last 7-10 days at times. That's why it may seem like they're in sync with each other. Being in heat is very uncomfortable for them. They're also more likely to try to run away in order to satiate their need. My sister's cat ripped the screen out of a two story window and jumped out and was gone for days. When they get out, they run the risk of being exposed to diseases, getting run over by cars, or being taken in by another family. You should really consider getting them spayed. This will lead to jus 2 female and 2 males. the correct ratio of males and females should be 1:2 if you want your females to be stress free.. Is the aggressive fish the larger one? she might be establishing a pecking order to get at the food first. I had a female molly who kept chasing a male molly around. and the male got stressed and would keep hiding. i had to separate them and now they are fine.. hope that helped..good luck

Q. I have 3 cats iin total, 2 female and 1 male. The male doesnt catch anything but the females do. How can I stop them catching rats, mice, birds and lizards? Is there something that will put her off?

A. Cats are hunters. They are supposed to kill mice and rats, that's why lots of people have them. And your cats are just like lions, the female does all the work and the male just eats what the females kill.

A. They either drag their bodies on the ground and almost look like something is wrong with their legs or they stick their butts in the air. Eventually, they will start crying and whining and it is very annoying. Get her spayed and it will stop. Unspayed females also have a 70% higher risk of cancer.

How a female can get bigger arm muscles?
Q. I excercise about 4-5 days a week, doing dumbells for 2,5 pounds on my arms for about 30 mins 3 times a week. Yet they get just more toned, but I really want that sexy defined muscles. I know it's harder to do for a female, but do you have any tips on how to built defined muscular arms?

A. I am not a trainer but I would say do what you are doing but include machine pulls (forgot the exercise name) but pulling up and then down with weights on a fixed machine. Plus doing push ups, people underrate push ups but they really are muscle builders. In addition, women might not have the hormones that guys do but that doesn't mean women can't help their chances by eating more lean meat and protein in general, in their diet. Hope that helps.
