How do you use you profit figures to tell you what to do next ?
Q. How do you use you profit figures to tell you what to do next ? I can see that a flower seller might look at increasing average profit curve and conclude it would be profitable to buy and resell more flowers. As the curve levels out, the flower seller would know when to stop buying increasing numbers of flowers. Same system would work for several variables but I can t get my head around it.

A. I have no idea what you are studying but this may help you. Each time we buy something and resell it at a higher price, we make a profit. If the item has a shelf life, we can hold it for more time and the question of throwing it away doesn't arise, which may happen with flowers, fruits, food etc. , or even they may be kept in cold storage and sold next day if possible. We have some fixed expenses and some variabe expenses (they are called fixed and variabe costs in the theory of costing). Shop rent, salaries, EMI payments etc. are fixed costs. The cost of each item like a flower or a food item is variable. So, you need to sell a minimum number to cover your fixed costs and that is called breaking even. How are equibase speed figures and pace figures determined?
Q. What do these numbers mean exactly and which is more important? I'm a bit confused because on a racing program I have 2 horses than ran in the same race but have different pace figures and one of the horses that came in 2nd place had a pace figure of 46 and a speed figure of 70 while another horse that came in 5th had a pace figure of 14 and a speed figure of 64. Can someone please explain these to me.

A. Just like Dave explained, the speed figures are for the final time and the pace figures are for the first pace call. This is after the 1st quarter in sprints and half mile in routes. The pace figures main value lies in helping to interpret the speed figures. If the pace figure is exceptionally high or low compared to the speed figure, it can excuse a poor speed figure since the horse had gone either too fast or too slow early. Check them out next to each other and you'll see the relationship. Some people also use the pace figures of the horses to try to predict the pace of the upcoming race. A. are looking for brand new toys? well you should try toy kingdom at SM department stores. i'm just not sure about the price. if your looking for second hands go to cubao at MSM. most of their items there came from US. but you can't be sure that all the toys are in good condition because they're just second hands. but some of them are still ok. the price depends on the condition of the toy. but they're really cheap.
