Flight is the process by which an object moves either through the air, or movement beyond earth's atmosphere (as in the case of spaceflight), by aerodynamically generating lift, propulsive thrust or aerostatically using buoyancy, or by simple ballistic movement. There are ddifferent restrictions for check-in and carry on luggage. For checked in luggage, you cannot have guns, explosives, flammables, etc. For hand luggage, it is the same list as checked in plus anything sharp (including nail cutters, tweezers), flammable as in lighters and matches and there are restrictions on liquids (no more than 3oz per bottle, must fit into a small transparent bag) The details vary slightly country to country and airline to airline: See for your flight.
