Does anyone know what the ford mondeo airbag flash fault codes are , my airbag light wont go out ?
Q. i have a 2001 mk3 Ford Mondeo Ghia Y Reg , recently the airbag fault light has started lighting up but only when carrying a passenger in front , is off when just myself in car or when kids in back but as soon as someone sits on passenger seat the light comes on for few seconds then flashes once pause flash once and pause then flashes 5 times quickly (1-1-5), does anyone know what this fault code is pls and any sugestions on diy repairs or estimate costs for proffesional repair? i have found a yellow plug under the seat and am gonna try remove and clean tomorrow as have seen this suggestion on another posted question, anyone know what this part is ? thanks for help in advance. A. There is a sensor under the seat that tells the air bag how much to deploy with out injuring the passenger. You need to take to a shop trained in diagnosis and repair of these units or you could do someone harm.

Ford mondeo Airbag Flashs. is there a code for what it means?
Q. i have a Ford mondeo 2004 tdci. it had a lil knock on the front. i replaced the steering wheel and was told there is a code for the flashing light to tell me what the problem is. any 1 have a list of the codes?

A. hi there there are loads of the codes easier thing to do, is, turn engine off, switch on ignition but don't start it, make sure the SRS light goes on then it will start to flash, count have many times, it will give you 2 numbers, there will be a short pause between the 2 set of numbers, if it flashes 3 time , then a short pause then 3 again then your code is 3 3, it will repeat after a long pause put the code on here and I'll let you know what it means, as i have the list of codes

A. i assume that you mean 8 not 88. I would say you missed the slight pause in the flashing of the code . # 8 code is a problem with the front crash sensors. check the connections and make sure they are grounded to the frame OK. The code 88 does not exist. Good luck.

2002 Ford Explorer airbag light is on, code is B2292.?
Q. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have read some posts and it looks to be the seat belt pretensioner. Please send me some pictures or descriptions on this so I can find it and fix it. It blinks 34, which I believe is the drivers side. Thanks

A. Take it a good parts shop, Autozone, Pep-boys etc. They can more than likely read the code with there diagnostic code reader and fix the problem. It might need to be reset.

A. Im not even sure you have an airbag, but either way. its called a OBD II scanner that will scan the computer and let u know the code.

Airbag light blinking on a 1990 ford?
Q. It just started this morning while my husband was driving to work. The blinks are in a sequence of 9. We know this means a code, but we are unsure of exactly what the code means. He is driving it now. If it matters, it is snowy and below zero here. I know something is wrong, but hte sequence of nin means a specific code. I need to know which cod eso I know if I should pick him up, or if he can drive home!

PLEASE HELP... I can't figure out what airbag code 49 means?
Q. i have a 2002 ford taurus ses and the airbag light is blinking a code of 49 but i can't figure out what it means. does anybody know what is wrong with my car? thanks for answering. yeah... i've searched the codes too and couldn't find 49 which is why i'm really confused. but its pretty clear that its 49 it blinks 4 times stops for a sec then blinks 9 times. it does that pattern 2 or 3 times then stays solid. & i will check under the seats later today. thanks for that tip. this is really bothering me. i'll probably have to take it to a mechanic. do you know where the seat position sensor is located and how can i fix the problem?

A. Hi Beth: A code 49 for that vehicle is a seat track position sensor problem. It's not something that you can easily see. It may be a bad connection to the sensor, or a bad ground where the sensor mounts. Spilled pop between the seat can also inflict some harm here. Here's a site that will explain everything you need to know about airbag lights and resetting the system. This website gives you the procedure for diagnosing and resetting airbag lights. See if your car is listed here.
