PEE As A Fungus Remedy Although I have heard that there are urine drinking clubs in parts of the Far East using it on ones nails seems equally bizarre One website has this testimonial Many years ago my mother got what I assume to have been fungus under several of her finger nails The nails were brown and crinkly and thin in places

How does fungus grow inside the camera?
Q. I just wanna know how does the fungus thing work and what ways are to be taken to prevent it.

A. Hi, First thing, fungus is fungus, not a bacteria. I just bought a lens on line and when I first looked inside it the centre element was plastered in the stuff. (Seller refunded me). It looked as though the fungus started off in the lens from a tiny insect which had died in there. Presumably the insect walked the spores in. Fungal spores are everywhere and travel in the air just like dust so you can get them inside your lens with or without an insect. You have absolutely no chance of avoiding them. As other contributors say, you will be fine if you keep the lens dry, the spores have to have moisture to start growing. Once they start growing they will feed off organic matter from the air which comes from more dust or organic matter… [cont.]
