A. If from LRT gil puyat station - there are jeepneys with a sign of guadalupe. it will pass to makati avenue. If going to Ayala or paseo, there are buses going to Monumento or Fairview or Letre via Ayala. If you will be coming from MRT gil puyat station, there is a jeepney station there going to washington. it will pass to makati avenue.. Or get down the stairs going to edsa. there are buses going to baclaran or Leveriza via Ayala. Take note that stretch of Makati Avenue intersect with Buendia, Paseo de Roxas, Ayala & Pasay Road.

A. Gil Puyat is buendia while Vito Cruz is Pablo Ocampo I believe. Both streets intersects with Roxas Boulevard. If you are to commute, you can take an FX along Roxas Boulevard, either in Gil Puyat or Vito Cruz. Maybe you can add more details as to where in Gil Puyat and Vito Cruz your at... Anyway, when you're already in the FX, just tell Manong driver that you'll get off at Grand Boulevard, the hotel will be on the right side of Roxas boulevard. By the way, the signboard of the FX will show "Lawton". And if you're facing Roxas Boulevard coming from Makati's side of Gil Puyat and La Salle's side of Vito Cruz, take the FX going to your right or going to the north. Have a safe trip!

Jane I will be staying in Manila for a maximum of one week (maybe 4 days on first visit and 3 days on the second visit). My daily budget for accommodation is Ps 500, a total of Ps3,500 for one week. Thank you for the initial replies...

A. You said your DAILY budget is P500, that means P15,000 per month. With that you can rent a one-bedroom condominium unit. Ther are a couple of Cityland condos at the corner of Buendia and South Super. Some of these are not labeled Cityland, but Makati Executive Towers or something. You can rent cheaper, by renting a studio instead of a one-bedroom unit. That should go for P7,000 plus electricity and water. Negotitate with your agent that the monthly dues be for the account of the unit owner.

It will make a turn to Buendia then passes along LRT (buendia/taft station) I used to work in RCBC Plaza and this building is in the corner of Buendia and Ayala Ave. You will easily spot this building with two towers. buses from the south does too. as what has been explained by the first answerer. Q. pls. help.. I'm looking for an affordable hotel/inn where i can stay..thanks a lot..
Asked by dotz, - Thu Oct 8 05:07:56 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The Manila Peninsula. It is in Ayala while this DTI Building is in Buendia (now Gil Puyat), but I think that either Makati Avenue or Paseo De Roxas connects these two parallel avenues. So it's only a matter of five minutes tops to get there to DTI. It really is a five star hotel, but there are occasions when you might stay there for free. Just wait for any Naval commander who gets it in his head to take over, so that he could end up a senator one day.

Which one is more appropriate to choose?
Q. Which place should I choose? I have a few prospects were to rent a place: 1.) My own room without toilet and bath in a very old house that's falling apart, and where it gets super flooded. I can cook and there is wifi. Rate is 5K a month. No closet and have to bring my own bedsheet and pillow. Advantage is in Bautista St San Isidro (Gil Puyat) near Ayala where I work. No need to take a cab since jeepneys are 24 hrs. My shift ends at midnight every day. Not too keen about the neighborhood esp at night. 2.) My own room and t&b for 3K in the Fort near Bayani Road. No transpo late at night. Have to take a cab home every night. Safe neighborhood. No kitchen and no wifi. Owned by my friends family. 3.) 5K just at the back of Rockwell Centre… [cont.]
