Q. This is from the Glencoe Algebra 1 Chapter 4 Practice Test: 30. Standardized Test Practice If f(x)=3x-2, find f(8)-f(-5). a) 7 b)9 c)37 d)39 i know f(x)=y, but i don't get the f(8)-f(-5) part. could someone explain this to me? please, don't give me the answer, just explain it to me so i can find the answer on my own please... thankyou!!!1

A. The notation f(8) wants you to solve f(x) for x = 8. So, you need to plug in 8 into the equation to figure out what f(8) is equal to. Likewise for f(-5). Good luck on your algebra hw!

Q. Freshman Alegbra Help? I fell asleep in class today and missed the whole lesson. So help please? Subject/Lesson: Graphing Inequalities in Two Variables Ch.6 Lesson 6 Glencoe/McGraw-Hill Algebra 1 book Graph each inequality: 1. y < 4 2.-x > y 3.3x+6y > or equal to 12 4.y < -1/2x-3 WHAT?! *Every problem has a graph next to it for...well...graphing.. I supposed to turn each equation in y=mx+b form 0 seconds ago What about if the question/equation has a larger/less than or equal to sign?
