A happening is a performance, event or situation meant to be considered as art. Happenings take place anywhere, are often multi-disciplinary, often lack a narrative and frequently seek to involve the audience in some way. Key elements of happenings are planned, but artists sometimes retain room for improvisation.

In the later sixties, perhaps due to the depiction in films of hippie culture, the term was used much less specifically to mean any gathering of interest, from a pool hall meetup or a jamming of a few young people to a beer blast or fancy formal party.

What is happening to Yankee Stadium? Is there a new stadium for the Yankees to play in?
Q. Is there a new stadium for the Yankees to play in? What is happening to Shea Stadium for the Mets?
Asked by smoothiemaker - Thu Jul 10 15:50:19 2008 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments

A. After the 2008 season, Yankee Stadium will be demolished. They will tear it down and pave it over. The new Yankee Stadium is right across the street from the current one. I went to a Yankee game on July 8 when they played the Tampa Bay Rays, and I saw the new stadium across from the original. The same thing is happening with Shea. It really is terrible if you think about it. There are so many memories at Yankee Stadium, memorials and other things and they're just gonna rip it to the ground. You know how the current one is called "The House that Ruth Built"? Well they're thinking about calling the new one "The House that Jeter Built". Since this is the last season at Yankee Stadium, I am recording Yankee games on TV. This will be… [cont.]

What's happening with saliva produces faster due to a sore or cut in someones mouth?
Q. I bit my tongue yesterday, and now today I have a sore on my tongue. What's happening when I hit it with my teeth, and saliva seems to shoot in my mouth suddenly? I know the obvious, but what's behind this cycle? :) I know this is a wierd question. I probably won't get a good answer.. * sigh *

A. probably because youre touching it with your tongue, and your saliva glands are behind your tongue. It is kind of like when you see sour candy, your mouth will water out of nowhere even before you put it in your mouth. So sometimes if you are going to put baking soda on it or touch it with your tongue or if it rubs against something else in your mouth, your mouth will water. don't worry, my mouth does the same thing. try and keep away from too much sugar and if you eat sugar, make sure you brush your teeth after you do, so you won't develop a sore in your mouth

what is happening with our quack grass?
Q. we are replacing our lawn. right now we have nothing but a few patches of quack grass. before we seed we want to kill all of the quack grass. we sprayed with roundup, and some of it died off, however more has come back up, but half of the blades are white and half are green. what is happening and should we use the round up again?
Asked by Lisa W - Tue Jun 3 20:37:55 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. its going to take a few applications to kill the grass, especially if 'quack grass' is a very plush grass. *most OTC remedies are a 'lower grade' mixture of chemical (its the EPA's way of protecting the consumer...in case of over use by the consumer). most important!! wait and water frequently before you install your new grass. most round-up 'type' products will have a residual, and since all herbicides are systemic, the chemical can and will remain in the soil ( possibly up to 3mths ). hope this helps
