A. If you are there the best way would be to go to a few hotels and find out about others. Many managers will be chary of giving you a room for one or two hours unless you meet them personally and are able to convince them about the proposed use.

Does anyone know a cheap but decent room/apartelle in manila/paranaque/pasay/ or QC?
Q. Was thinking of around 200-250 pesos a day. I and a cousin will be coming to manila in a week and have been looking for a room to rent but all i found were bedspaces. it will be too expensive if we stay in a hotel since we'll be staying for 10 days. Does anyone know a better alternative?
Asked by rick - Fri Oct 9 19:32:05 2009 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. You could try around Manila area. But it's only a bed space but the room is quite big already for you two. And since soon it will be sem break again, some students are out already so you could enjoy the whole room even though its only a bed space. transient cost is 100/day around Leon Guinto area.

[Urgent]Clark to Makati City - how?
Q. Hi everyone, This is quite urgent coz I'm going to Philippines on Wednesday night from Singapore. I'll arrive in Clark airport and have to go to Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City (near Makati & Ayala Avenue). I have learnt that there's a bus from Clark to Manila costs 300-350 peso, here are my questions: 1. The bus stops at SM Megamall and Pasay. I don't understand where exactly Pasay is, is it the Victory Liner bus station in Pasay city, or is it Pasay near the other airport NAIA? At which stop should I alight to get to Dusit Thani faster? Will the bus driver stops somewhere along the way if I request him to (somewhere I can get to the hotel faster). 2. Let say I stop at SM Megamall, I've learnt that it's near an MRT station called Shaw… [cont.]

A. Your hotel is just at the corner of EDSA and Ayala Ave. in Makati. Whatever bus you take, before getting a seat, ask the driver or conductor whether they can drop you at Ayala. If so, you can just walk to your hotel. At the hotel you can inquire (or use the hotel's traveler's brochure) how to get around...Megamall, SM, Cubao, etc.). There is SM mall at the back of your hotel or go to other places using MRT, your preference. On your return flight, in order to avoid rush, you can leave the hotel for Clark by around 11 am. That would give you some respite in case there is a traffic jam along the way particularly in the major choke points in EDSA. Pack your things early and you can still walk around in Makati before taking your bus back… [cont.]

ROOMS along Roxas Boulevard overlooking the Sea?
Q. Kumusta, Hello, Bonjour to everyone. I am planning a long stay in Manila, in fact in several places around the Philippines. I am looking for a room, preferably not more than USD55 per night for a long stay of around 14 nights or more. I need the hotel to have a very good broadband connection in the room and situated near/along along Roxas Boulevard ( towards Pasay or towards Intramurous is fine) as well as the rooms facing the sea :) It is better if they have good connection with private transports and rugged/adventurous traveling . Thanks , Salamat,Merci Beaucoup.

motels in manila philippines?
Q. I am currently staying at Victoria Court at pasay next to Baclaran. it is nice and clran and safe, no DNA on beds as somebody else wrote. This is a very nice motel, mostly for short time folks. however they keep raising the rate. This is the Philippines. Peorple over here are poor. Rates should be about P800 to P1000 per nite, not the current P1595 which was just rasied from P1250. This is not USA so we should not have to pay USA rates. There are many cheaper hotels around, you just have to search for them. Nice clean ones! If we all stick together, they will keep the rates lower rather than $80 to $100 per nite. that is why we come here it is cheap for us Americans.

A. You are in Manila. Prices are higher in the bigger cities, same as in the US. When I was in Davao, I stayed in a fairly nice hotel for around P900 per night and that included breakfast the next morning for both of us. Also as you mentioned about it being clean. Even though the country itself seems dirty compared to what we are used to, the Philippine people themselves are very clean. If you spend much time around them, you will see they always shower and keep their laundry done up and clean the house and their yards.
