Looking for a three or four day tour of iceland?
Q. I'm planning my European trip. I want to go in September. I would like to start in Iceland, I want to spend a few days and want to see as much as possible in those few days. Looking for a tour maybe. I want to leave Iceland by September 18th so that I can be in Germany in time for Oktoberfest. I don't know much about Iceland but I really want to see as much as possible.

A. Iceland is great. I recommend going in the summer, but September is okay too. I've been there three times, most recently last summer, and I love it with all my heart. I'm at home there. This site is pretty helpful, but I recommend renting a car and driving the Ring Route to see as much as possible. It's the best way to travel, it's how I did it, and it was great. The most beautiful country on earth, I think. Make sure you see: Reykjavik (obviously) The Eastern side of Iceland --- absolutely gorgeous!!! Akureyri, the northernmost city in Europe Stop along all the waterfalls and geysers along the way --- don't worry there'll be signs or you'll see them. I hope you like it there as much as I do!!!
