Which is the safest, best and afordable place for minors to stay in Manila or NCR?
Q. I'm bringing 30 Chinese students, ages 12-16 from China on July, we plan to stay in Manila for 7 days(from there we would visit nearby attractions like tagaytay) I want to get a safe and affordable place for these kids to stay. I have already found a place in Baguio, it's much easier, but i have a hard time deciding where to book them in Manila. Could you recommend pension houses on inns or apartelles? I tried to search in the ads but i'm having second thoughts about these.thanks

A. I know Muntinlupa city and Binan city like the back of my hand. Unfortunately for you, the closest hotels along the SLEX south of Alabang is located in Alabang (Filinvest exit). These are all 10 minutes away by car along the SLEX from splash. And these are 5-star (or so they say) business / leisure hotels. The Belleveu, the Vivere and Parque Espana. They ALL charge no less than 5 thousand pesos a night for the cheapest room... with an additional charge of 1,500 pesos for an extra guest in the room. You take the Southwoods exit on the SLEX to get to splash island, but beyond that, the closest cheap hotels/resorts are at the Calamba exit, which is about 30-40 minutes away driving along the expressway (without heavy traffic). That is, of… [cont.]

Q. Me and my husband are going home 3 times a year, but we always go directly to our destination. This time,we decided to stay in manila for few days.We stayed once in Westin Philippine Plaza,it's very nice, but expensive.A friend told us about Swagman Inn,we looked to the internet, but we don't like what we saw in the picture,it's like in the getto. We are looking for a place that is affordable, good and safe to stay.Dusit Hotel is a good hotel i guess, but not as expensive as Westin.

My cousin is asking what kind of restaurant or bar should she open in the garden areas of Green Mango Inn?
Q. My cousin is asking what kind of restaurant or bar should she open in the nice open-air tropical garden areas and the covered patio of the Green Mango Inn at 365 Aguirre Avenue (near El Grande Avenue & about 8 houses from BPI Family Bank), BF Homes, Sucat, Paranaque City, Metro Manila...this is a more quiet part of Aguirre Avenue, a nice quiet area... If you have suggestions for ideal resto or bar for the garden area of this colonial-era house converted into an inn, what name do you suggest for this proposed new establishment? Since Green Mango Inn has low room rates but good-quality, this proposed resto and/or bar would be similar in low-prices and good quality foods... Thanks!
